Secret behind the Dark tokens

Did we ever establish why the dark tokens have the same versalian symbol that Hsalf's helmet got, or his "dark meso explosion" attack for that matter?
Is Nexon just being Nexon and lazy enough to use it for a little unrelated event or is it hinting at the next Masteria expansion? I don't think I've seen any threads about this topic before, but i can't be the only one that noticed this... So gimme some thoughts about this!

Malady ain't from Versal, she and her sisters been flying around Ellinia since the start. Possibly this is a Versalian Malady that is actually good...
The description on the Dark tokens does say it "looks like a currency used in a world other than Maple world". So it can't be all laziness... Question is, why would suddenly versalian mesos be found on bosses? Its almost to suggestive to not mean anything....

They were already added to the data in the CWPQ patch, so it's definitely not a hint towards any new content.

Not really, because the sentence uses the word I. If that were the story of MapleStory's lifespan, then it would be saying MapleStory is disappointed. It isn't, we are. Just thought you should know.

When CKPQ was added they put an item in called "Shadow Meso", which is the same as what Hsalf uses in his attack. They just reused the image and changed the name to "dark token". the Shadow Meso is not being used, but it was there first. More than likely they just stole the image I'm afraid.

Maybe, but the only problem is they show nothing about versal meso other than here, and that they ARE twisted masters. They have all crap that looks near or different.
(Im guessing that made no sense at all)
But anyway I think there more to come.

Malady wants the tokens so she can give them to "Baby Yaga". But I don't think she ever further explains who/what Baby Yaga is and why it needs mesos from Versal.
