..the fuc'k? Get Charmander to 14 and he'll rape Brock. I made it to the Vermillion City gym in like 1.5 hours with Charmander.

Still hard. You don't even have to bother powerleveling anyone else. Bulbasaur and squirtle can solo brock and (for the most part) misty.

Charmander can't.

I don't really remember which was the first, but Super Mario Brothers, Double Dragon II, Bubble Bobble, and Captain Comic for the PC are some of the earlier ones I remember.

This is the first game I ever played. It was at my older cousins' house, and every time I wanted Mario to jump, I'd make a jumping motion with my controller. Such a noob.

My first game was pong. Then mario bros, excite bike, contra, arkanoid, tanks and kung fu for the NES. For the PC my first games were day of the tentacle, simon the sorcerer and duke nukem 1 (which i never managed to finish, that mofo). And exile, lord of the rings and elite for my old father's commodore 64. Ah, I was such a hardcore player as a kid ;_;

Route 5 is still after fighting Brock. Yellow version was the only one of the original 3 where you could get Mankey before Brock.

What pisses me off is that they are re-making it for the PSP, but it won't come out anywhere else. Fucking assholes.

You are my new best friend. I fucking loved this game when I was a kid.

It was implied making Brock easy mode, not the whole game. Besides, Mankey doesn't make the game easier. Honestly, it made the game more annoying; I needed to keep healing my Primeape because his defense was disgustingly low, while my Nidoking was steamrolling things as easily as my Charizard. If it matters, it was Fire Red.
