KaidaTan Wrote:I have a sneaking suspicion that this class might suck. Summon AI has never been all that good.

Summoners and summon AI is awesome in the Dungeon Fighter games. In fact, Summoners are one of the best solo classes. All mages just totally rock in Dungeon Fighter, though... Completely unlike MS, where mages suck terribly.

I would love a fun mage class to come to MS, but I have my doubts.

At first I thought of Domo riding a dragon on domo smash fest.
Then I thought of Sora with a pet dragon.
THEN I thought of the new race BEING A DRAGON.
If this new race can fly I will marry maple story <3
EDIT:
I FOUND THE ANSWER!
AND IT MAKES SENCE ._.

Combined with an updated magician-damage-thingy, this might seem interesting.

Hmm, anyone see the picture on Spadow's blog?

If so, is number 2 more likely a

One handed sword user

or a

dagger user?

Things I see that I like: Hero classes are just complex classes.

-Aran: Warriors with combos.
-This wizard: Summons, or complex stuff like that.

I hope to see stuff like this, eventually:

-Pirate: Gunslinger that... Well, something like this. Dispensers, sentries, cannons and all that included. Also repairing them.
-Archer: Aiming with the cursor. Yes, that's right, move with WASD, aim with the mouse.
-Thief: Something around alchemy, where you have to mix stuff to create attacks.

I'm a bit tweeked that they made another Mage. <_<
Even if they're making Aran counter-parts to the 5 Adventurer classes, you'd think they could start off with the non popular ones. :|
This makes 5 Warriors, 5 Mages. :[

I'm interested to see how this plays out. I'm not going to make any hasty comments until we know more though.

The role of the Mount sounds interesting if it deserves new mount equips to go along with it. I wonder if the role of the Dragon is a lot like that of Battleship to a Gunslinger like some suggested (DANG, THAT'D BE SO SWEET TO FIGHT WHILE ON A MOUNT); and I wonder if this class is going to continue using the combo system that Arans used. I've never been fond of mage gameplay, but I had never been fond of warrior gameplay either and found myself loving Dawn Warriors for fixing a lot of the problems I had with regular warriors, so I'm just going to have to hope that this class will do something to change around some of the problems I've had with playing mages.

New class, new wild mass guessing. Needs moar info for any comments.

On the other hand though, i am very disappointed that we don't have a new bowman class.

So these are essentially equips for the mount itself?

Seems like it. Maybe a perma mount that has its own equip slots.

That isn't entirely true. Although Aran do have tons of skills, most of them are used by pressing the regular attack button and some combination of arrow keys. The rest are buffs.
