Super sword?
That Ranger... ._. No comments.
:O
I got it fixed somehow;

IGN: Vernacular.
I need some buddies, and guidance.

Bwanga's camp is...blech. Mechs and Summoners can probably run through it with ease, but for a Launcher, it's hell. The rabbit clan guys are easy, but obnoxious (Lol I summon never-ending swarms of birds now, k?), the bull clan are the typical super armor whores, with the boss being painfully boring because I have to spam Steyr to kill him, anything else I either don't have the range or don't have the time to set up, and the chicks at the end are lightning bruisers. Seriously, Lariat managed to hit me WHILE falling from another gunner's BBQ. As in, as she's falling, she pulls a super armor flying kick to my face.

Ryku point is fun, but gets overwhelming without support. I can solo anything up to the boss easily, but like any Golem-type boss, I have difficulty actually downing him (the only move I have that's really useful against quick-moving enemies in a small map that have super armor is Steyr for its quick damage. Spamming Steyr for 12 bars of boss HP AFTER fighting off Lim Lim and the Ryku fragments? No. Not doing that solo. If I luck out and he's in the long room, then fine, but not in the tiny room at the top.
^ yeah I hate those too. Also I noticed launcher's damage seems so weak at this point(lv38ish). It's true we have the advantage of uber range, but everything takes so long to kill, and super armor or quick attacks tend to interrupt our attacks often, hard to keep mobs back too. Not to mention when you are in a small room, or vertically long room(frozen heart) bleh..

On the other hand my striker seem to be getting better on pve with rising fist and other skills higher leveled. And things get so much better after discovering the beauty of my super armor buff, eats boss like a toss Heart Still short on SP though...so annoying when you can level a skill but have no SP Tongue

Lariat is funny xD I have the least trouble with her. Bwanga on the other hand is just scary as hell. And the Medusa girls quickly overwhelm me with their snakes x_X

Ryku on the other hand is like a punching bag (after Lim Lim dies of course). Fun place to go to imo, as long as you can deal with the Goblin Commanders and Kamikazes.

But speaking of Ryku, does anyone, for some reason, know the whole story of that place? The epic quest chain is missing from my log o.O
Er so I'm getting bored of my Nen Master - the running around buffing everyone and setting up Nen Guard and stuff doesn't really appeal to me, and I kind of messed up my build (I like to figure out my own build rather than sticking to a formula, and I was still new to the game), so I'm making a Witch. I read a little about PvP and PvE builds, and I'm not sure which to pursue. How much do I lose in PvE ability by building for PvP, and how much do I lose in PvP ability by building for PvE? I'd like to do both, if possible.

Edit: Also, how do you get the expanded skill slots F1-F6?

For most characters, you're going to suffer by trying to make a hybridized build, and, while nothing is impossible for most builds, you'll have a harder time in one thing or another. In other words, you lose a noticeable degree of capability by specializing in either PvE/P, but suffer worse by hybridizing (in most cases).

Go look at your settings, nib.

But with the right support, or the right situations (Giant He'etako, Lotus) we are amazing. I've been able to take out Purgatorium's boss with 0 effort at times when he was locked behind a barrier, something few others could do (maybe Elementalists). If I have melee aggro'ing something, I can unload weapon after weapon without fear of retribution, while melee classes will always have to worry about counterattack. In other words, we are party DPS and mob control. Solo we have a tough time, admittedly, but most gunners do.
Protip: castellan on the air? move.

Bet you can't wait for your Super Sword attack. Even though it's obviously a glaive, not a sword.

Lol. Also remember his red laser warning, you'll see it again and it means the same thing.

Right now it feels like I'm overwhelmed by the "support"

If I happen to get into a decent party of 3 melees + me, the mobs are being killed in the time I can do 1-2 attacks. Fire pillar just fails. Super armor mobs just totally destroy the need of mob control. Fast mobs are a pain too.
It's getting a little depressing I can never find any other mages or priests to PvP against. No matter where I go or what room I create, I somehow end up fighting gunner after gunner with some slayers on the side.

Try fighting "Saki." Insane Battlemage. Once I get my Launcher to 40 and geared-up, I'll start leveling my side-project (non-gunner) and you can duel him.

How you doin'?

we can deduce that it is either a priest or a slayer.
