New Boss Helms and Equips - Not Good News

Yeah, I realize there's already a billion threads on this stuff, one in particular is already on this board, but I'll stop you there. That's a thread regarding good news on them and the quests.

This is a thread that is giving the bad news so the info will spread before too many people suck themselves into it hoping for awesome equips.

Well we all thought we'd ALL be able to get the equips, no matter what our level... that's wrong.

It's true that any Class of a Job can do the quests, doesn't matter if you're 2nd Job, 3rd or 4th or a Spearmen or Paladin, Crossbowman or Bowman, etc. yes, there are no level limits. And the quest chains are extremely long for it.

But. The second you get to the ending quests where you have to actually go in and fight the boss of your Job, anyone level 40 or above is denied entrance. Yeah, only players that are less than level 40 can enter and finish the quests and get the cool equips, if you're not, well, yeah.

I'm almost never pissed at Nexon because I just don't see the point... but this really pissed me off. Don't waste your time doing the quests in the hopes of getting the equips, because if you're 40+, you're not getting them, NOR are you going to be able to finish the quests and get them out of your Quest Log.

Also, if you made your character before (around) 2007 and made it beyond level 15 before the beginning <insert your job name here> quests, or were unaware of their existence, then you'll have to make another character, or go on another character that happens to have done them and then use the Scissors of Karma to transfer them over . I assume they'll be resorting to even more crap like this in the future in an effort to get our money, since they'll no longer be able to get it from alot of people thanks to them purchasing permanent clothes and pets.

The helm is only +12 anyway so it doesn't really matter. Who knows about the gloves though.

Might as well send a ticket to nexon to try to get them to give any pre-2007 and 40+ the ability to do the quests. If they're gonna make it 40-, why would nexon even bother putting in 3rd and 4th jobs as eligible. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Most pre-2007 chars are expected to be 40+ anyway.

What's worse, they'll probably end up making it a continuing quest chain, requiring the old quests be done first. If they do infact do that, it'll be just another ploy to get people to waste money (because some people atleast will buy 2x exp to make the process faster) making another character.

I submitted a bug report on their forums, and agree with the fear of the continueing quest chain. Due to this and the glitch with pirate skills and perma-pets, I am looking forward to the emergancy patch in the near future

I think this is really only terrible because it's the only new content we've received this patch AND it's exclusive. So screwing most players out of it is kind of offensive!

Yeah 1st job is important. Oh unless you buy Maple Life and skip it.....

That's probably why the door is 40 below, for all the people that buy Maple Life.

Well, I don't really mind since they nerfed the helms to become +12.

Ugh how annoying, why can't they let everyone do it, I don't really care they're nerfed to +12 I just like quests...

My Brawler is still fortunate to be level 30; so I think I may be just fine with getting it for that character, and it still helps even if it's just +12 Dex. And worse yet, like DevinMacD, I'm equally pissed that I can't do these quests for my other characters; not out of want for the helmets, but I seriously missed a giant chain of quests for my count.

Well, glad to see the great shoes and gloves have seen no changes. At least that's still fine.

GAHHHHH Well I won't bother with this load of bull then. Well guess I'll be bored til Aran then. What a freaking load of bull.
