New JOB? AFTER ARAN?

I suspect that these legendary jobs will all have a specific starting town. Adventurers have starting towns that focus on their job branch. A lot work went into coding the combo system for Aran so it would be a waste to have only one job use this mechanic.

I hope that the legendary magician turns out to be a support character. It would be nice if boss squads didn't have to rely on the bishop job line all the time.

Do you actually know how much time it'd take to make a specific town for each "legendary job"? Just go see how comples many Aran quests are, and you'll see. I consider making quests for each of these new "legendary jobs" hard already.. but making towns for each of them as well is.. really unlikely. If they won't decide to make them look all the same, just with a different theme. That could be a possibility. But still, where would they place all these new towns in the World Map? I doubt it's going to happen..

They could expand the worldmap, you know. Like... make it so the worldmap scrolls when you go to the edge of the map.

Also, they only need to add one island for a new set of jobs, then many islands within that island. As Hawaii is to Oahu, so this new set of islands is to each job class.

If the new job(s) are actually related to Aran then they should include Rien in that "new island" as well, shouldn't they?

It'd be like making the island where you can become Dawn Warrior separate from the one where you can become Blaze Wizard, Thunder Breaker, Wind Archer and Night Walker. It wouldn't make sense, would it? But again, this is if the new job(s) will be somehow related to Aran.

Isn't that the reason why they are releasing them one at a time instead of all at once like they did for Cygnus?

I remember reading in a few Nexon Q&A's when Aran was released that said they would consider doing other combo classes if Aran's proved popular. Aran's seem pretty popular to me so it could be more combo classes which could be interesting.

The more classes the better for me, I like having choice. The only thing I question is their timing. Nothing for years then bam it's down to a 6 month period between new classes.

Some nice new areas would be nice. Oh and by that I mean something tougher than Time Temple or more of Ellin etc. Not more level 30 content. You can't even experience it all properly since you level past it too fast.

I'm actually glad that they're releasing all these new classes, including Cygnuses. Keeps the game somewhat interesting, gnome sayin'?

Unless they end up making some kind of superpowered Shadower... then I'll be mad. I don't care if they make other classes look bad.

I've a feeling you will get to see a fire charged bandit that will make Shadowers look meek.
At least I doubt they will base these new thingys off of the same classes Cygnus snatched.

Well if it's a combo system class then a Shadower would be a good choice to base it on. I'm liking that idea already. But I’m prepared to be disappointed.

Shadower is already one of the weaker classes, each new additional class proves it.

To be fair, if nexon allowed assassinate to work with SE, we probably would be allowed to boss.

If they're all combo based adventurers I'd say
Aran, shadower, brawler...
but I don't know how they could do combo mages or archers

brawler is already used in cygnus so its most likely gonna be gunner......
my guess would be the 4 new jobs would use be like shadower, lightning or dark mage, gunner, and crosbow
for the dark mage, i can already imagine the storyline like this:
once the dark magician started training his followers to be strong like him, but seeing the threat in many of them because of the equivalent of power, he trapped them underground. until recent, [insert npc name here] from [insert island here] explore inside a dark cave, where it leads to the place of the trapped dark mages and release them. after they were release, they join the adventurers against the dark magician. before they were trapped by the dark magician, they somewhat suspected his plan and have told some of his "family members" about it. after they were trapped their family members, hoping for their release in the future, saved various scrolls teaching how to become that power in many places in the maple world. after the dark mages were release, they would have quests to find those scrolls to remember their once powerful skill
good enough?
or, to fit with the story of the 5 heroes, it could be like this
once the dark magician started training his followers to be strong like him. many of them, after reaching the level of power, break off and tries to fight against the black magician and the adventurers (3rd team). however, they failed to do so. after trying to go back to the dark magician and being denied, they join the adventurers in the adventure to defeat the black magician. then follows the storyline similar to aran

^ The point is, combo based systems are much more suited to melee classes rather than ranged ones, i.e. any difficulty of trying to keep a combo going is out the window when you can hit in a large range.

since they gonna figure out something for archer class, the "pirate" one wont necessary be a melee class, the system can be just like the archer one
so shadower follows combo system, archer and gunner follow some new system, and mage continue spamming buttons?

This. But more than this, I want a Past of Maple expansion. Ellin Forest has been sitting around for too long without any quests or expansion into Past Perion or Past Henesys.
