What TakeBacker is saying is this:

Low-Dex = Having lower dex than needed to wear your weapon and having all your equips add stats to allow you to put it on.

Dexless = Ignoring secondary stat completely and only putting points your main stat, choosing to use a Maple weapon instead of a regular weapon.

That is the only fundamental difference. Needless to say, you can only have Low-Stat classes in a case where a secondary stat actually determines if you can weild a weapon, like Bowmen with STR or Thieves with DEX, but not a Warrior where STR is the only option needed unless you want to equip special things like a Stonetooth Sword.

Warrior primary stats are str/acc though, so low-dex is having less base acc than you need to hit anything if you want to put it that way. There's no real equivalent to "dexless" since you can't hunt monsters that require 0 acc, unless you just say that having the least possible base dex make you dexless.

I still think it makes more sense to just use "low-dex" when you have more than the minimum, and "dexless" when you have the minimum AP in dex.

Pretty sure you can have enough DEX to equip a Level 100+ Knuckle, right?

-5 DEX from Black Belt
-5 DEX from Silver Deputy Star/Mark of Maricain Wait, this is KMS.
-1 to 2 DEX from Spiegelmann Necklace
-20+ DEX from an Overall
-15-17 DEX from Zakum Helmet or Scarlion Helmet
-10-14 DEX from a PAC/YAC

And many more, too lazy to think of more.

Been there, done that.

Vipers never get boring for me. I can train for 10 hours a day solo just trying to level and I won't ever get bored, unless I have something on my mind that would be more interesting (like fighting Zakum, Horntail, etc.).

You just need to find the class that suits you most. If you get bored of your character fast, it's not the class for you.

Yeah, but I'd rather have a character that I'd never get bored of and would keep me entertained in every situation than a character that spams one move over and over yet has a higher DPS. I wouldn't give up my Viper for anything in the world, because all of the others are just to bland, with the exception of Shadowers. I don't know how it works in GMS, but in JMS, Vipers are wanted for just about everything, so it's a good class to get into everything with and still have tons of fun doing it.

I don't see how Buccs are a weak class. They're weak early on, but then again, so is every other class up until mid 14x-15x. The thing about Buccs is that you have to have ALL of their attacking skills maxed to witness and enjoy their real potential. Without maxed Demo and maxed Super Transform (Both of which get maxed inbetween 150 and 165), Buccs just seem like a mobbing class with a decent single-target attack; Barrage.

Oh so true. Sure a Hermit/Hero is overpowered in terms of overall pros vs cons, but Hermits I couldn't stand staring at using 1 bloody attack all day (Avenger is terrible mobbing) and Heroes are just too easy. Both have power, but for me they're just not fun. I can't imagine a more enjoyable class to play than a Brawler.

i use just as many skills as a MM as i did on my bucc. again ladies dont get deffensive i said over and over that i enjoy playing my bucc, its just iwas originally a MM and i shall be one till i die.

its not as if MM are known as a DPS class, there is a reason MM are cheaper than any other class except 2 handed BW pallys.

alsoooo MM need all their skills to shine. however it is also a fact that buccs are not the stars of 1 vs 1 dps. buccs are still a great class, awesome party skills, fun to train (which is 90% of maple anyways) and interesting to watch. its just my personal choice to go back to MM and in no way it means buccs suck. they are after all my second favorite class to play.

I think it's just Barrage. It looks so damn sexy. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have attempted to make one in the first place. Only leeched it to 93, though, before I got burnt out and quit for a month or two. Leeching is so boring.

To be fair though, Marauders (before the skill delay changes) are arguably the worst third job in the game. Terrible single-target, low mob capacity except with Shockwave, but you only had that 1/3rd of the time and only after 60 SP. About the best thing they can do is continue to do what they did in 2nd job: Corkscrew -> Somersault Kick.

CrossBow Masters have 13 different attacking skills? :f6:

Not really. I got my Pap times down to 7 minutes now. You just kind of need Demolition maxed.

Unless they're 4 dex and wearing a stonetooth/arcglaive, no.

@xbish:

1) Reported for troll accusations. Wink
2) Your bucc is terribly equipped if you kill pap in 30 minutes. O_o I can kill pap 1st/2nd form in 15 flat with just barrage and dragon strike...and i'm only 2 levels higher than you.

double shot, arrow blow, strafe, snipe, iron arrow, erruption, blizzard, mortal blow, eagle, frostprey, pierce, dragon breath. those are my skills that do dmg.

and alas its 13.

you can check the dmg range thread to see if its bad.

and of you dont want to be called on it then dont do it

I meant useful ones. All 13 of a Viper's attacks are useful in many situations. According to Shaddap (level 177 CBM in JMS), he only uses Arrow Erruption, Strafe, Snipe, Peirce, Blizzard and Dragon's Breath. That's 7 attacks. Summons aren't attacking skills. Arrow Blow, Double Arrow and Iron Arrow are virtually useless by third job. Mortal Blow is a passive skill, not an attacking skill.

Not bad, just poorly equipped. Especially for someone who probably has 16-17 blessing. (though i'm sure it's on separate accounts, so meh)

He hasn't played his Bucc since April. That's around when the family system came out, and it's long before hammers or belts came out.

I gotta say, when I first read the title, I thought it was an Angry Dome or Funhouse gay thread. ._.
