For anyone who can't get to the forum because of it's extreme load right now;
Spoiler
Quote:We appreciate that you are interested in joining the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade! We strongly suggest that you read the forum post regarding this program before continuing. It answers a lot of questions regarding this program. You can find the forum post on our forums at: http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums...91236.aspx.
To get into the MapleWatch Leaf Brigade program, all applicants will need to meet the following restrictions:
1. Meet one of these two character level requirements:
a. Have a character at least level 70, or
b. Have a character at least level 45 on an account created two years before the application post date.
2. Have no current ban on your account(s).
3. Have no prior bans for hacking on your account(s). *4. Be in our service area.
5. Like pie. Or cookies. (Just kidding!)
6. No, but seriously, you must like pie or cookies. Or cake. Mmm, cake.
If you meet these criteria, and you are still interested, you will need to submit an application. All applications must be sent to Einquiry@Nexon.net. If your email is submitted somewhere else, like IWantToBeInTheMWLB@Nexon.net, we won’t get it. Please remember that if you submit anything other than your application to the above email, it will not be responded to. All account related questions or game questions must be submitted through the ticketing system. When you submit your application to the above email address, please make the subject read, “MWLB Application for <Account ID>”; this is so that we don’t lose your application! (Tip: Include your Account ID in the brackets. Don’t put <Account ID> when you submit the ticket. This may seem self-explanatory, but you never know . . .)
And now, the application! Please provide the following information.
Full name (first and last):
Birth date:
Your Account ID:
Forum ID (if applicable):
Name of the main character that you play:
Main server that you play on:
Character’s name that is at least level 70/ 45:
Do you play on any other servers? If so, please explain and include servers and play time on other servers.
Do you have any other accounts? If so, please provide Account IDs for each of your other accounts.
Does the name and birth date that you have provided on your application match the name on your account(s)? If not, please explain.
Does anyone else have access to your account(s)? If so, please explain who and why.
What geographical region are you in? (Time zone)
For what times do you plan on volunteering?
Do you play any other Nexon games?
Have you ever played on a private server? (No, this is not a trick question.)
Do you have access to a microphone? If not, would you be willing to get one?
If you qualify, would you be able to submit a copy of one of the following forms of identification: driver’s license, state identification, or passport?
Is there any prior abuse on your account(s) that you know of? If so, please explain.
Before we investigate your account(s), is there anything else that you wish to include?
*Service Area refers to everywhere that doesn't explicitly have their own MapleStory franchise, ie; the entire Global Service Area. Not just LA, Not just California, Not just the US.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
Was the Private Server question on the last Leaf Brigade application?
I don't plan on signing up for this, but that question seemed to stick out for me. Especially since they did the "Not a trick question" thing. Makes me feel as if they'll auto-deny anyone who says yes to it.

The April 30th questionaire was:

Done! This time I submitted my application a lot earlier than the last time.. hopefully I will make it to 2nd stage, even if I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt it.

"So... What previous experience you have in game development?"
"I once volunteered to help Nexon ban hackers by reporting to them about hackers I see"
"Congratulations, you're in!"
Shidoshi Wrote:No one to monitor on off-times since you can't be from outside their area...
IIRC they once said that "anyone in their service area" doesn't mean in the same country as THEY are, but in their SERVICE area. Meaning all countries not IP banned.

Big words, believe it or not they do help.
"Helped control an online community numbering in the millions by removing members that breached the terms and regulations."
Sounds a lot snazzier doesn't it? Sure LB don't have banning rights themselves, but it's close enough to the actual truth to pass. Sure it's not an amazing feat on a resume, but every little bit does help. I've gotten an interview or two at some half-decent jobs partly because I wrote down I'm a volunteer forum moderator; All in the wording.

is that private server thing some kind of joke? i mean, if you say yes, but list your reasons, will they consider you for it as much as anyone else and respect you for your honesty, or automatically reject you, or even ban your account for breaking their ToS?
EDIT::
eh, either or i still applied. heres to hope.

No it's not a joke.
No they won't ban you.
It even specifically says it's not a trick question.
That means
A) It's serious
B) It's not an entrapment attempt
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

thats contradictory though. if they say that its not a trick question, then that means they want to know if youve ever played a PS, that is given. but reading into it a bit, does that mean that if you say yes youre admitting to breaking the ToS, and basically saying it to their faces? i mean, youre asked to provide your NexonID within the subject of the email. so whats not to say that its not an entrapment attempt?
I have previous abuse on my account, so I’m not going to bother applying. – If you have previous abuse on your account, but you feel you should still be considered for this program, you will be given the opportunity to explain any abuse on your account and why you should be considered.
oh, i can.
i was once suspended for a week for some BS reason which was incredibly inaccurate, something about smega abuse or something, though when i received that i had not once even used a smega to begin with. #7 does not apply to the issue of Pirvate Servers whatsoever, only if your account has ever had any instances of suspensions/bannings.
