I see you're doing the same as me... except you have 1 more exp bar than i do :<
Zephyr Wrote:So... enemies get damage reduction and defense and avoid buffs on kings? I'm doing 200 at most on dragonoid kings...

I dunno what you noticed, but I noticed that everything about enemies gets harder in general. And I do mean everything. For example, attacking you much more often =D

Oh, and bosses tend to pull off new attacks after a certain difficulty. Arbitrator Marcellus never uses Nen Orb at Expert's or lower, but he starts using it from Master's onwards.
KajitiSouls Wrote:Cool

Haha yeah. One day makes alot of difference. I was uber stoked.
Yeah, the dragon in dragonoid nest gets a lightning spear attack in kings...

Dunno what heaven expeller gets in kings, i only know his super armor is hax, and he gets a speed buff like there's no tomorrow...

Oh, he also starts shooting 3 way lightning from the start...

I find this false. I ran normal and expert solo, and he used Nen Orb both times; only once at the very beginning in normal, and about two or three times in expert. I've never ran master+. o-o

Interesting o.O I've ran Expert countless times (for his journal) and he's never done that o.O
I think I've finally finalized my build. I decided early that I was going to be Fire-less, and I've stuck to it with no regrets.

 Spoiler

The only thing I'm left not 100% certain about is Disenchant. I just don't know if it would be helpful enough to me to give up a point in Acid Rain to get it to level 1. I'm a little tempted to make a DFOSource account and ask for an opinion there, but I don't think I'm that desperate. Personally, debuffing isn't really my style. I'd need a list of the helpful things it can do in order to consider it.

And 50 points saved for one point into the Awakening attack skill.

This isn't some theoretical build, either. This IS my build. As of level 39, I've followed it to the T. It's served me well.
Oh wow not even Shururu. That's pretty amazing. I see you're not saving any points for the passive awakening though. What's your reason for that? I was planning on maxing mine.

From what I know about Disenchant, it's pretty useful in pvp. It debuffs buffs as you probably know. No Mana Shield (Mages), Overdrive (Blade Master), Frenzy (Berserker), Bullet Buffs (Spitfire), Chasers (Battlemage), Death by Revolver (Ranger), Elemental Burn (Elementalist), etc., etc. Pretty much everything what any class needs to be deadly. If you're going to get it, you want it to be at least level 4 for the range and debuffing 2 buffs. It has a nice range when maxed. Putting only 1 point in it is kinda sucky.

Disenchant isn't too useful in dungeons right now. In the future, if I remember correctly, using disenchant lowers mobs atk and speed. Also for every buff you debuff, you get a int/str boost.
You're skipping backstep cancel and rebound because we're getting it for free in the future, or you just missed that skill?
I'll probably end up not getting Disenchant. I just can't see myself wasting that many points for something I don't even like.

For our Awakening passive, I honestly don't see it useful enough to spend a lot of points in. Hell, I actually struggled for a long time whether to even get Lollipop or not (I rarely use it). However, there is the four extra (120 points) levels in Acid Rain that are totally flexible. I may up end up using 100 of them to get the passive to level 3, and then have 20 points left for something. I guess it depends on how much I like it/getting more details about it.

As for Backstep Cancel and Quick Rebound, I don't need them.
You don't? why D:

(I'm making a witch btw, i need to know xd)
I think all Cancels are a silly waste of points, plain and simple. Quick Rebound is too situational for me. I don't like how it works. But you know, if I had only 10 extra points lying around, I'd toss them in. It's just not something I need.
Yeah maybe because you're a witch you don't need those, I'm a battle mage and without those i would be dead the second i gather a mob xd

Since you probably combo with spells, you might not need backstep or his cancel, but quick rebound is really helpfull if a mob went wrong, and you're lying on the ground being gangbanged...

I just hope that with a future update we get free backstep and rebound like in DnF...
Even though I'm a Witch, I combine Battle Mage elements into my fighting. I would be so lost without Uppercut, Fang and, especially, Force Palm. However, I have Manteau, which allows me to mob and go crazier. It makes me invincible during its animation and completely stops what the enemies are doing. Acid Rain really helps cripple mobs and lets me rape them, too.

There's Phase Shift for when things get dirty. However, if I do mess up a mob really bad (which does happen sometimes), I usually take the punishment like a man. I deserve the gangbang if I let it happen.
Why not stand up, and let the reverse-rape begin? Its more fun that way >_>

BTW, how is this witch build for PvE?

10 Shururu is a little excessive. The big range is nice but you can't detonate with Jackyl yet. It'll be out for a long time and be hard to explode on it's own to act as a finisher. You seem like a Shururu fan so I guess 7 in Jackyl is fine for the level 40 cap.

I think you would definitely want at least 3 in Manteau and 1 in Flapper. Manteau's the only grab skill for Witches. It has a large range so it's useful for catching any stragglers not in Shururu or Lava/Acid combo. Invincibility frames also come in pretty handy.

If you plan on being more on the physical side, get Flapper. It's a great finisher to your air juggles.
Another great thing about Flapper:

Other than that, everything looks ok. I think most people get 3 in both dusts, but 1 is probably enough.

Translation: I don't mind being gangbanged when lady luck says I need it. I mean, missing three times in a row is DEFINITELY something I screwed up on!
KajitiSouls Wrote:Translation: I don't mind being gangbanged when lady luck says I need it. I mean, missing three times in a row is DEFINITELY something I screwed up on!

Actually, uh, no. I was talking about myself and only myself, not any other class. I know you complain about missing and then getting raped. You're the one assuming I was saying missing = screwing up. I wasn't. Also, I'm not a Fighter.

My style is heavily dependent on "hit and run" techniques, with emphasis on getting hit as little as possible. I get hit very few times in any dungeon, assuming I avoided any mistakes. I create mobs and pummel them while they're down. If I get reckless and charge in at the wrong time (like when they're not on the ground or focusing on a summon), I consider that a mistake because it usually results in me getting hit. My style is all about crippling the enemy before getting aggressive, which I do through Manteau, Acid Rain and air juggles, mainly. When it comes to stronger or more feisty enemies, I really lay down the attack, run away, attack, run away, etc. Like I said, I'm all about victory without pain (not getting hit).

And I should note that it's funny, if not ironic, that you're talking to me about luck. I play the class that is all about luck. In addition to dealing with misses, I have to constantly account for failure casts (that includes getting a failure or regular success when I could REALLY use a sleeper success).
So... leveled to 24 and the only quest i get is 1 epic? the hell?

And the hell are the bosses of floating castle o.o
