Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread

Alright thanks guys. Gonna pwn some stuff on my gunner and slayer tomorrow.

Gunners at the moment are pretty overpowered. They can rape from close range (Grenades, Windmill and BBQ), and from far away as well. (Every other skill.) Not to mention they can practically slip out of any situation by sliding, and FLY by jumping and shooting their weapons. This is speaking in PvP terms, but they do very well in PvE too.

So sick of hearing this, so I'll put this bluntly - we are no such thing, you just suck. If you can't keep us pressured and stay in our face all the time, of course we're going to be free to unload on you with our skills. I've fought plenty of melee classes who had no difficulty at all dealing with my hit and run tactics, including physical exos. It takes practice to deal with anyone experienced with their class in PvP - I fought a pro battlemage and couldn't do more than 3/4 of her health if I was lucky, 1/4 - 1/2 any other time. I'm not all that inexperienced in PvP either - I've played somewhere close to 600 matches. Early levels, yes, gunners have a big advantage when people can't do much to keep them pinned. Higher levels? Hardly.

I knew you'd have something to say. Fact of the matter is, the only way you can beat a Gunner is to beat his ass into a corner and not let him get out of it. Where's the fun in that? I feel like a cheap ass when I got someone in a corner and just wailing on him, and that's how most Gunners fight. They run to a corner, attack, wait for you to rush them, then try to fly to the other corner. It's just a BS cat and mouse game until I manage to finally pin one of you f'uckers in the corner and beat the snot out of you. It doesn't help that it's hard to approach sometimes because Windmill can hit on the x and y axis.

Fighting Gunners is lame. Slayers know how to give a good fight.

Can gunners do point-blank shots very well?

Really depends on the height of the monster you're striking. Since the arm of a Gunner's stretches out if you're shooting with a revolver, when you're shooting, whipping the arm out hits an enemy. If the enemy's short, it usually knocks them down to the ground, and if lying down and that enemy's long enough, you can perform some shots that hit the enemy. If the enemy's tall enough, whipping the arm out might just launch the enemy into the air with a small bounce, allowing for the rest of the shots from a normal combo to hit, or even cancel into a move. This is just speaking from a Ranger's perspective with revolvers. Mas might have something different to say for bowguns and hand cannons.

HCs generally knock down if hit with the gun itself, and knock back otherwise. Bowguns generally give a bit of lift.

I'm so tired of the jerks who find a pot that you need and you say "Oh can I have that" and they lie and say "oh I opened it it was a (insert nonexistent item here)" or they just blatantly IGNORE you for the rest of the dungeon. Holy crap these people are greedy assholes.

So... enemies get damage reduction and defense and avoid buffs on kings? I'm doing 200 at most on dragonoid kings...

My chasers still hit 3xx ~ 8xx and palm strike still hits 6xx+ on hit and 2xx+ on bounce though...


Palm strike must be one of the funniest skills ever... gather a mob, for example the armors in vestibule... xxx -> dragon fang -> upper cut -> charge and release palm...

From normal to kings, that combo destroys ANY mob of armors... it even helps on the boss... gather some armors + the boss, do the combo, watch as the boss loses 1 and 1/3 of his hp xd
