Hardcore (Mania) mode and unlock Nereid's Labyrynth... kekeke . . . . . . THEN the real game begins... ): @Grogger: Yes, name me another game in which you have to combine EX-gems to switch back and forth between a Strike and a Technical attack. Symphonia's battle system made it fun for me. Abyss' battle system was even more complex, Vesperia was more complex than Abyss, and so forht and so on. Tales gets more complex and fun, which is way I like it. Sorry guys, just sick of the usual 'turn-based RPGs' routine. The only turn-based game I enjoyed was Legend of Dragoon, true story.

I'm also pretty big on the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. Very few turn-based games have held my interest, with a few examples being Fire Emblem, Mario and Luigi, Chrono Trigger, and of course, Pokemans.

Turn based games are the only ones that require minimal skill.

As soon as you said Pokemon, I suddenly have an urge to battle you. I hope to God you play competitively, or as soon as the match starts, the first two letters I'll type is a "GG", which means the match is over. :3

I don't like the idea of battling competitively online; there's too many cheap as shit pogeymons and it's not really worth the tedious work that comes with EV training. Either way, I don't know how to connect my DS to the internet. ;~;

Sure this thread lacks Valkyrie Profile. Man up and play it. If you beat Seraphic Gate you've just won the game.

However, I can play 3rd Gen fine. And Greg, no, there is NO EV training online at all during competitive battling. Your Pokemon comes pre-set at lv 100, you can distribute EVs easily by entering a couple numbers in or changing the "EV bar" on NetBattle. Just input 4 moves, distribute EVs (if you want, I don't see why you wouldn't unless you want to get raped by OUs...), and add in a Nature. <_< That's it. Then pick a server, and battle someone. Pretty standard stuff, it's easier than installing MapleStory.

Khoi Wrote: wtf you talking about brah. I'm talking about the handheld Pokemans... you know, the kind where you can enjoy adventuring around the region of Sinnoh, Hoenn, etc for dozens upon dozens of hours. EV training on a real Pokemon game is tedious, but where's the fun in having a lv. 100 Pokemon with perfect EV sets and the ideal movelist appear in a blink? That's no fun at all. |
