Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread

Really... some other guy I partied with claimed to have gotten in on the 1st try. He was on the run with me to get the Forbidden Book "since forever", which I got on the 1st try (after receiving the quest).

I got the other book around my 3rd try. It was a lot easier to find than the journal.

Have you been working on that "Endless Grind of Fate" epic quest (part 5/7)? It just says to go to Thunderime to find the parts of necklace. Can I find them on any Thunderime map? Or do they only drop in Frozenheart? Have you found any? Completed it already?

I completed it already; the Wild Toy Soldier is pretty cool xD

The necklace pieces AFAIK can be found in any dungeon (case in point, I found one at The Ridge), but you stand a much better chance of finding the pieces on Frozenheart King's. (yeah we "cheated" to get King's Road there)

Heh, I had extra tokens at the end of the day, so I figured I'd check out what those Lotus spawn rooms are like solo. Needless to say, I those tokens got used. Those rooms were so easy in a party of 3 on master's, but impossible solo on normal.

Guess there's a big difference in class for situations like these. I can handle Lotus Spawns on Expert's solo. I'll admit that the cleanup job after killing the Spawn in the larger room is a bit of a pain in the butt, but it's doable.

After seeing more of Mt. Thunderime (or what's available of it so far) and Temple Apostasy, I'd have to say that the Temple definitely has the harder dungeons. Nothing that partying can't fix, but it's still pretty harsh. Mt. Thunderime on the other hand has some moments where if you're caught in a bad place at a bad time, it's going to hurt a lot. Those Thunder Golems take out a pretty big chunk of my HP if they hit me with their lightning; I dread to think what kind of damage it does to Slayers. None of this compares to Bwanga however.

Scratch that, I'm owning it now xd

I found Fiel's set items list and downloaded it but all the files are in EQU format. How do you open EQU files?

Don't know how many of you are aware of this...

Let's say you can go into some dungeon X. You can go there on normal and expert difficulty, but not Master's. If for some reason you were partied with someone going on Master's, and you manage to unlock King's difficulty, you get all the difficulty modes up to King's. That means you can skip trying to unlock Master's xD (or Expert's)

Just did this for mrcowcow at 2nd Spine =P

No not really, its just X -> X -> X -> Forward Z -> Z -> Forward Forward Z -> A

And stabbing wheel is on S since the combination for it is just stupid (I never played street fighter besides button mashing, sue me)

No more fatigue for today, and lol at your freedom accounts, i have like DFO 01 - 05 to use xd, now to figure out if there's any difference in chaser damage when my BALLS OF STEEL are bigger.

Trade the jewels from sky tower for them, lorianne and sharan gives the quest, 4 quest total for each colored cube plus white cube quest also gives clear, 20 of each i think.

Did what specifically? This is a party trick, not something possible by soloing.

I'm not about to go do Sky Tower dungeons over and over again since I'm far over-leveled for that place.

Your problem was that you did it in King's. Playing on King's does not unlock anything.
