Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread

Frozenheart is the single most retarded dungeon in this game. No question. Absolutely retarded. I would actually rather torment myself with GBL Lab/Hatchery than sit through this crap. Protecting an NPC? No, screw that. Dang this dungeon is boring. It's two frickin rooms. All you do is kill these retarded robot clowns while listening to their retarded laugh.

Wow. I hate how the dungeons have gotten worse (with the exception of Chamber of Blood) since I hit 34. I actually MISS Behemoth. At least The Ridge isn't terrible.

Sigh... Looking for fun dungeons. The other two dungeons in Thunderime better be good. And when I reach Noire Ferra, it better not be another letdown. I want to end these levels on a high note.

*: either chaser after 3 hits, or chaser after uppercut to hold the aerial combo

With that combo i get crap in masters to half hp, it sucks that i have to actually activate the chaser after getting them, tapping so many keys is confusing...

What I don't get is people play a game, get to this point, are bored to tears... and continue playing. In Maple nearly everyone regards the first levels as ultra fun cause you're always gaining levels and putting skill/AP points in. Then they're like at lvl 17x, complaining how grinding is slow as hell, but they continue playing.

Aren't games made for the sole purpose of FUN?

I think it's a problem with MMOs in general. Gaming becomes a "job."

Why did you feel the need to come in and comment? I'm not bored to tears AT ALL. If I was, I wouldn't be playing. I play games for fun. DFO is VERY fun. Do you live in dreamland or something, though? Games can't also be frustrating, annoying and even boring at times? Goodness. I enjoy venting. Frozenheart is gay. Doesn't mean DFO is any less fun. It's been continually getting more and more fun.

Castellan has wimp lightning. Heaven Expeller's lightning is THREE FUCKING LINES OF LIGHTNING spreading out and OHKOing you if you're caught by it. Castellan is weak.

Both Heaven Expeller and Castellan are platypi. Castellan's lightning is the nasty stuff. I was hit by Heaven Expeller's tons of times and never died. The one time I was hit by Castellan's I died. lol

Gotta love being ranged at those two bosses - I could just run out of their range with plenty of warning. HE was by far easier, though, as you could always hit him. Castellan flying into the air was a pain in the ass when Gatling was in cooldown.

Okay? Unlike Heaven Expeller, you cannot juggle Castellan. As a Priest, that's a problem. 3 times now he flew up and zapped my ass while I was in the middle of setting up an attack. All 3 times I died. Castellan is not weak.

Why is it that most, if not all, of your posts in this thread have contributed nothing more than adding to your -overstated- opinion on your dislike for Nexon and their games...? Just give it a rest already...

It's easy to beat Castellan's Chamber with a monk.

keep punching him from the front - when he's about to use his sword or beam, duck under him. If he's about to use Nova, run the other way and dodge it if you're lucky. Nova is about the only thing that isn't very avoidable.

Maybe because I'm a launcher so I'm usually always out of Castellan's lightning range, and that Heaven Expeller's lightning is longer ranged as well as Castellan's room where I can hit and run.

Took out 75% of my HP with one of his attacks and killed off half the party. "omg wow" ensues. He also has a lot more HP than a regular boss would.

Apparently on one of the King's runs, a Slayer managed to get his ass grabbed at the first second, then most of the undead peeps exploded on him, thus killing him in record time. Everyone was like "wth are you trying to do a freerider on us?" This whole time I was l4gging due to initializing the dungeon.

Yeah his journal is pretty rare. It took me around 12-14 runs to get it.

Really... some other guy I partied with claimed to have gotten in on the 1st try. He was on the run with me to get the Forbidden Book "since forever", which I got on the 1st try (after receiving the quest).

I'm not looking forward to this, even though the dungeon is relatively easy >_>
