iPhoneMS

Well, here's my latest works in After Effects.

Description from Youtube:
Have you ever wanted to play MapleStory from your iPhone or iPod Touch? Well, that feeling was very mutual so I bring to you iPhoneMS. A full fledged version of MapleStory with a redesigned UI to accommodate running on a much smaller screen.

Unfortunately, this is simply a mockup of how the UI might look, and how the game might play on an iPhone. I am not making an actual app. This was all made in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.

Too bad you can't do extreme combos on that, lol.

Very good.

If this came out, i probably wouldn't use it. A game like Maplestory is complicated to play with a controller if you're a class that uses a lot of skills. I can only imagine how bad it'd play on a touchscreen, considering the GBa emulator for ipod/phone is a bit iffy at times.

Then of course, there's the obvious danger of using a 3rd party client to connect to Nexon's servers. I wouldn't trust it, unless it was officially made.

Not that portable MS isn't a good idea or anything.

That was extremely well-made and it would be absolutely amazing if something like this was created.

Too bad that won't happen. <3

Sadly it's true, I just had this idea in my head, to see how the UI and skills might work. And of course, Nexon would need to make this as it would rely on some changes on their end.

Great job! Looks really feasible. Though some functions wouldn't be availabe, I don't mind having this.

The inconvenience of being unable to chat without having to go through a bunch of hassles sparked one thing on my mind: implementing real-time voice chat in Maple..

Would be fun to go to fmch1. Goggleemoticon

I find this helpful only to people who can attacks from range. I need to be able to have full control of movement when I play my Pally. So I'd love it for just hanging out with my friends in Maple, but I would switch to a desktop if I was actually gonna do something. I might even use it for sitting in a shop in the fm.
