Is there any indication that sophilia's doll box is getting fixed also or should I just try to get a headstart on area bosses?

Yeah i'm complaining
so sue me the fact that people got to scroll multiple of these things is just ridiculous i'm not saying i wont work for one of my own -- i'm pissed because others got to spend 30 mins per fully scrolled belt compared to whats going to be hours upon hours for me now

I believe it needed to be harder than just spamming at newts for an hour and you're all set, but it should not be as difficult as it is going to be. There are plenty of ways to still make it difficult but doable. With the drop rate of the bosses, and the amount they drop, and the fact that you know every boss possible will be farmed, getting a good belt within the event is looking pretty unlikely.

Edit: Since there are too many variables, I just decided to cut the math out, and just take the numbers I had and give a decent range for possible number of belts per server for the entirety of the event.
I could very easily be wrong in some of the boss' spawn times, and if party quest bosses, and summonable bosses drop the tokens as well we'd have even more possible belts. Good range, including the fact that they WONT be evenly distributed between players, probably 200-1000 belts per server.

....
god dammit. i wanted to try this patch out today, and first chance i get they decide to fix the mistakes they should have fixed in the first place. all in all how long did the original patch to .77 take, anyways?

Those of you who are chastizing people don't seem to get it and it's either because you don't care about the event and getting fun little goodies like the broom and hat (fine, but you may as well mind your own business if that's the case) or you have no life and are willing to ks and camp at bosses all day which probably makes you worse than glitch abusers. I can't speak for everyone but I assume the same to be true for a good portion of players, that this wouldn't have been so heavily abused if there was a feasible alternative. I would've happily killed random monsters with a 1% drop rate of these for a couple hours a day if that was a choice, but it's NOT, and that's Nexon's fault. An event, ESPECIALLY holiday events, should be available for all players to participate in freely. This glitch provided people with an alternative to what would otherwise be impossible to them. How awful it is that they took that opportunity.

At the rate they were being dropped from Newts it would have saturated the market with the belts like whoa, and that would have given people a pretty ample opportunity to buy them. My original plan was to wait it out a few weeks and see how the pricing went and purchase a 6+ attack one, but oh well.

This is basically a repeat of the fiasco with those maple marbles. Alot of people complained about the extremely shitty drop rates leading to a certain solution followed by Nexon "increasing" the drop rate with about a week left to the event. Hopefully a large number of people can convince Nexon to change the drop rate/dropped from again.

Hopefully complaining will make them add the coins to more monsters rather than increasing rate, since upping the rate would just mean its easier for high leveled people to just KS all day and get belts.

There is also the possibility that some people may go as far as stacking 2x drop card and 2x drop rep (Assuming that the Dark Token dropping is affected by modifiers) to increase chances of getting more Dark Tokens. Well, I think that Nexon might change the way Dark Tokens drop if it is really too hard to get them. After all, Nexon has done something similar in past events when it was too difficult to get a certain item (ie. Aramia's books and Alphabet letters, even though it annoyed some us all the more). Perhaps time will tell when Nexon notices that hard anybody notices their (crappy) events that they will make it easier for Dark Tokens.

Kalovale Wrote:6+atk one would've taken you about 2hrs hunting. xD I know this, and it sucks knowing this because now the odds of getting a belt are going to be so drastically low that it isn't worth it, which is exactly why they should do something to make the drop rate a bit better and not just drop off of bosses that will be farmed. |
