Did they take away Medal quests?
#1
I went looking because I wanted to see what my total of quests I had done was and it's gone from under Job, went looking under Victoria but since there are so many quests under there I might have missed it.

So did they remove this?

Yeah, you can no longer check how many total quests you finished. They removed it all from the Job tab.

If memory serves, they did say if you lose the medal that you would have to complete the quest again... so there may be a way of checking it at least. But far be it from me to trust my memory Goggleemoticon.

My wife once got hacked and the hacker dropped the medal, and she was able to get it back without delay. So you can trust your memory, and my word. Goggleemoticon

Which medal was it?

I tried tossing the Beginner Adventurer medal on a mule and I don't see any way I can get it back. Sucks that once you get a medal you gotta either toss it or let it clog up your inventory.

So if you drop your Quest Specialist medal, you can get it back immediately? And still check your count?

Yes. It's not impossible to check your Quest Specialist Counter.

Related issue, dunno if anyone knows. But if you double-click on your character and click "Collections" (the new feature that combines Monster Book and medals), it shows medals you didn't get.

Specifically, the medals you could "fake-complete" before to get the quest count, like Celebrity and Veteran Hunter, show up on there.

Right before the server check (or should I say patch?) started, I tried fake completing every Donor Medal and it only shows one town's medal. Just thought I should point this out.

So medal quests just no longer affect the quest log at all?

In the five or so minutes I was able to get on before the new patch, I checked my total count and it definitely went down. Available ones don't show up, In Progress or Completed, yet they still function like quests on the NPC (and show a completion ring when done). Strange change... But I guess it's good. Keep medals separate from our quest scores.

I noticed the two CPQ2 quests were still in Available, though. What the hell.

The default medal inventory button is ;. It should show how many quests are completed in there.

In case you can't see it: ;

I shall tomorrow after they do the fixing patch. My Quest Medal is only good as a jump equip anyway.

Really late, but here:

How about the explorer medal? Is it possible to get back because I am thinking about dropping mine since I only did it in the first place for a +1 quest count.

Diligent Explorer? I'm pretty sure you can regain the first medals (Quest Specialist, PQ Mania, Veteran Hunter, and all the others) by repeating the quest once they're dropped. The newer ones, such as the [Area] Explorer, Job Advancement Medals, etc, are impossible to get back once dropped.

Edit: If you really want me to, I'll drop mine. But I'm still pretty dang sure I could start the quests again.
