.... ok nexon, you have successfully managed a sneak attack, roll your extra damage.
Seriously? only hints about mediocre stuff and BOOM, big pomegranate poppin, like 10 hours befroe patch. You figured they'd make big notice about balrog since it looks epic at least. Jesus.
Hm, from what little I can piece from the new early Adventurer quests at the moment...
- The Warrior quests apparently has you chasing a criminal around Victoria Island (out of some misunderstanding that Chief Stan hates everything to do with Perion?). - The Archer quests have something to do with an antique from Leafre that eventually made its way to Kyrin. The antique turns out to be Solomon's Bow, and there's some sort of legend behind it. - The Mage quests have you deal with someone spreading a virus in the water supply. (The Dark Lord even gets sick along the way. What great irony to have the Mages go cure his sickness.) - The Pirate quests involve a treasure map. - The Thief quests involve looking for Jay's lost book and eventually solving a burglary case after something happens at Nautilus. All of them eventually lead to fighting a class-exclusive demon boss. Warriors: Andras Archers: Amdusias Mages: Marbas Thieves: Valefor Pirates: Crocell ...And that eventually leads to The Rememberer helping you find one final boss (Astaroth) responsible for breaking the seals of the other five.

Kalovale Wrote:<3 Hahahaha, yeah. After reading through the entire quest sequence, you can pretty much shorten it to that. So now, I'm wondering, are these series of quests a GMS original thing? I don't recall seeing anything about them in any other version. It would make sense to have them come out from KMS first seeing as they are obviously designed to help Adventurers with leveling up, but none of the KMST threads, as far as I can remember, contain any info about these quests. (...Unless these things are supposed to be some kind of obscure tie-in to Masteria.)

All of these different types of new quests and medals are awesome. I will be busy for a while.
Also I am glad they added the medal storage system otherwise I would have had to expand my slots.

The Medal thing just lets you view what Medals you have obtained out of all of the available ones, it does not hold all your Medal equips in a different storage system. They stay in your Equip slot. And yes, those quests are all GMS exclusive, Alilatias, which is astounding. It sounds awesome. But I'm willing to bet those over those low levels can't do them, fight the boss, or get the awesome helmet(s). But I hope they don't make it that way, so I guess we'll see.

Are you sure? Isn't this the same system KMS got a while ago that actually stores your Medals in it?

SuperNerd Wrote:And yes, those quests are all GMS exclusive, Alilatias, which is astounding. It sounds awesome.Yeah, these quests came out of nowhere. Spadow showed everyone at SleepyWood an animation of one of Astaroth's attacks (which is incredibly epic for such a low-level boss - it makes you think that it's going to do Zakum-level damage, if not even higher). I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to post it here since it will most likely qualify as an image. Astaroth's design alone pretty much screams obscure Masteria tie-in. (Either that, or it just screams GMS exclusive content.)

But who knows, maybe it is the KMS thing. If it doesn't hold onto the Medals, then I guess I won't be collecting them as feverishly, but that'll be quite the opposite if otherwise. Hm. I might go check out that attack animation in a sec. But I thought the same thing--about how they made such epic-looking bosses with such epic Equips for the low levels. It's crazy. Maybe they should've made versions appropriately depending on the level of players--like a level 86 person could fight a level 70 version of the bosses, but that's not the case, sadly.

Not sure how I feel about it yet. Probably just gonna get thrown into a frenzy of epicness and not have time to experience it all.

Not for questhoes. I got my quest Medal first, and then got the Explorer Medal too even though I knew I would never use it.

I wear my quest specialist medal as a badge of honour. There isn't much that would make me regret getting it.

I'm curious to see the HH expansion and those class-based helms.

Hmmm... new Balrog Boss Normal fight channel is 15... does that mean the less-populated servers are getting their stolen channels 14-19 back? Or that we won't be able to summon Balrog until next patch when they put it on another channel for us?

Alilatias Wrote:Hm, from what little I can piece from the new early Adventurer quests at the moment... I'm actually surprised (yet at the same time not so) that Nexon took stuff from demonology. (Taken from Wikipedia) Andras: In demonology, Andras is a Great Marquis (a Prince to other authors) of Hell, having under his command thirty legions of demons. He sows discord among people. According to the Goetia, Andras was a Grand Marquis of Hell, appearing with a winged angels body and the head of an owl or raven, riding upon a strong black wolf and wielding a sharp and bright sword. He was also responsible for sowing discord, and commanded 30 infernal legions. He is the 63rd of the 72 spirits of Solomon. Andras was considered to be a highly dangerous demon, who could kill the conjuring magician and his assistants if precautions were not taken. A misstep outside the magical protective circle could mean instant death for the conjurer(s), and Andras was always trying to lure them out. Amdusias: In demonology, Amdusias (also Amduscias, Amdukias or Ambduscias) has thirty legions of demons under his command (29 according to other authors) and has the rank of Great Duke. He is depicted as a human with claws instead of hands and feet, the head of a unicorn, and a trumpet to symbolise his powerful voice. According to other sources, this demon is depicted as a unicorn, and changes into a man under the request of the conjurer. Amdusias is associated with thunder and it has been said that his voice is heard during storms. In other sources, he is accompanied by the sound of trumpets when he comes and will give concerts if commanded, but while all types of musical instruments can be heard they can't be seen. He can make trees bend at will. Marbas: Barbas is a demon described in the Ars Goetia. He is described there as the Great President of Hell governing thirty-six legions of demons. He answers truly on hidden or secret things, causes and heals diseases, teaches mechanical arts, and changes men into other shapes. He is depicted as a great lion that, under the conjurer's request, changes shape into a man. Valefor: In demonology, Valefar is a Duke of Hell. He tempts people to steal and is in charge of a good relationship among thieves, but later he brings them to the gallows. Valefar is considered a good familiar by his associates "till they are caught in the trap." He commands ten legions of demons. He is represented as a lion with the head of a man, or as a lion with the head of a donkey. Crocell: In demonology, Crocell (also called Crokel or Procell) is the 49th spirit of the Goetia, manifesting as an angel with a tendency to speak in dark and mysterious ways. Once a member of the Powers, he is now a Duke of Hell who rules over 48 legions of demons. When summoned by a conjuror, he can teach geometry and other liberal sciences. He can also warm bodies of water, create the illusion of the sound of rushing waters, and reveal the location of natural baths. Astaroth:
