PSP games.

Magus Wrote:Kay' so how big are the typical save files for PSP games, and for that matter how big are the roms? (Trying to figure out how much memory I'm going to need.)

Typical Save States range between 256kb and 3mb. And make sure to get .cso roms instead of .iso, they are smaller and run smoother, and they range between 30mb (like N+) and 1.6gb (like DJ MAX or Crisis Core).

Also, idk or idc if it's allowed but PM me and I can provide LOTS of links to .cso's.

You can pineapple up any electronic by being an idiot. That's not just the PSP. As long as the OP is careful in what he does he'll be fine.

Well that was pretty much it. Ty.

MEGABUMP.

I'd like to add to this list:

- Monster Hunter 2nd G.

F'uck, I can't believe how awesome this game is. It's huge. HUGE.

I'm HR3 (almost 4) right now, and there's still plenty of stuff to do.

Does any southperrican play MH?

I was considering on getting it. Thanks for letting me know how awesome it is, now I have to spend 30 dollars (excluding tax) to get it. Damn you, Rob.

You won't regret it Khoi. Just lurk a bit here or here to see how huge the game is.

Also, consider getting 2nd G instead of Freedom Unite (the US version), the last one is kinda nerfed in some stats and weapons/armors.

The one I saw going around was "Monster Hunter Freedom 2", I think? I don't remember the exact name, but it looks bad-ass. Yeah, I'll definitely get it once I get another paycheck from work in a week or so.

Yeah, it's totally bad-ass. Let me know what you think of it later. Oh, and don't be frustrated at first... It's a hard game to get into.

Just f'ucking hoping it won't be for the PSP Go! only and it comes for the old PSPs. The 5.60 firmware is f'ucking with me.

It'll definitely be for all PSP's. Cutting off all old PSP users on a game that is GUARANTEED to sell well would be a ridiculous and bad move.

But that's the Japanese release date. We probably won't see it until April or May. Blah.

I know, the thing is, new games such as Soul Calibur, IL-2 Sturmovik and a couple more, are based off the 5.60 firmware (the Go! firmware), and the old slims and phats are having trouble running them. I won't even tell you if you have a softmodded one. You're screwed.

I have two (one that's hacked, one that's not), so I'm not going to have a problem. I'm sure that by the time BBS is released they'll have come up with a solution, though.

I really enjoy the NES emulator for the PSP! Glitter

Also, just mod your PSP so you can download full games first and test them if you like them before you buy them... There are quite a lot of sucky PSP games, but since there are no demo's for the PSP, you can't know what games are good and what games suck... Smile

Kinda late to the thread Smile

Of course I softmodded my PSP... there's no way I played so many games if I didn't. I just hope Ryanide is right and DarkAlex returns to the PSP modding scene. Things will just get stuck if he doesn't.

Well, the 5.00 M33 was recently patched/redone/fixed/gottenlaid so it can play games that previously the 5.50 GEN only could, and I don't know who else could've done that other than darkalex.
