Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread
What level? I could help with my Launcher or Summoner.
11 now. ;-;
Ever since I started taking all quests possible, I was overpowered any dungeon I do in early levels.
Blaah. Doing dungeons without quests is so boring.. especially if a level takes too long. :x

No one in Sky Tower West wants to do Dragonoid Nest runs, so I soloed it all the way to level 18 today (I started at 17, 0.00%). It was so mind-numbing. I just farmed champagne to have a fake reason for staying there - I ended up with 2x champagnes by the end of it, and around 60 fatigue left.

Monk job advance is ALL fighting, so needless to say I was slightly pissed. I did make it, though, so I'm a Monk now. :U
First Spine is now my favorite dungeon! All it took was the correct strategies and some caution, and now I can clear Expert's without (usually) using a potion! On top of that, First Spine is crawling with octopi, so I can bring oodles of tentacles back xD

Unfortunately, there's a new quest that requires me to go to Dendroid Jungle King's. I don't even have that unlocked because that friggen place is very hard to get a high score in. Anyone care to take me there tomorrow?

Infection and others, be sure to check out the stuff I have in the DFO trading thread before I chuck them. I'm running out of room fast since I'm finding purple and green/purple equips left and right.

Ugh. Crap. I can not get an S in Dendroid Master's. How am I supposed to unlock that? Maybe I'll try to get it tomorrow, since I was just gonna be gaining exp anyway.

Well, for style, these two things will get you up to 85%:
--Launch the enemy into the air and hit once. Repeat. You might get botter Captcha'd for this, but to hell with them.
--Longass combos. This is not recommended, but is necessary to get a higher style score.

And for tech, 57%:
--Just start wailing on the Dendroids if they put their roots into the ground. Good way to rack up counterattacks and back attacks.
--Same thing with the Golidens, although it takes much longer for them to do it since the result of them sticking their roots into the ground restore their health and sprout confuzzle plants.

Do these two for EVERY ROOM and keep on doing it until you get the values described or higher. If you get Overkills, that's bonus to your tech!

I'ma see how far I can bring this. Of course, the main problem is Aerials...
I know how and have no problems earning high style/tech. It's just not always as easy to do in Dendroid. It's been a few levels since I've been there, though. Maybe I can get it now.
I've been lurking in the thread for months, I should probably play the game....
Anyone know what I'm to do or any good/decent tips?

Get high ranks in dungeons is the only general tip I have. Learn how to score style and tech, and learn not to get hit. You are not being timed for how platypus you are or how long you take (unless you're doing a betting quest from the potheads), so take as much time as you need. I have no idea what happens if you afk for the purposes of regenning your MP, so do that at your own risk.

 How to earn Style points
 How to earn Tech points

SSS = +30% exp (if soloing, you NEED to be able to Overkill and get a very low hit count)
SS = +20% exp (doable if you can't Overkill)
S = +10% exp
A = +5% exp
B = ?

SSS = 105/140 points on the results screen. I'm not sure what the rest of the benchmarks for ranks are.
As far as I know, F~B give no Bonus EXP, i.e. +0% EXP.

I'd buy the two totems you have (lv25 and 30) but I dun has gold. I won't be getting NX until likely tomorrow.. and I plan to get avatar coins. :x
I can do an IOU and farm the gold on my two characters, though. Hehe.

Usually I do solo King's Dragonoid Nest runs, so I can help you if you want.

Nothing happens. I do it all the time because the MP pots do not justify how much MP I actually need to regain. x.x

I did it once to find out. Nothing changed. I'm quite sure it's safe to do, as long as you're patient/strange/cheap.

Oh hey, a ninja.
I've started playing this about 4 days ago, and it's a pretty good game. The only problem that kind of annoys me, is that there's this fatiue point thing and onces it hits 0 u can't go to dungeons anymore.

Also i've heard there's are other characters, a Female Gunner and a Thief....i've wonder if they will come later in the future.
I have a lot of crafting materials...but I don't know what to do with them. How do I make +# weapons or armors and stuff?

To upgrade equips, you have to take them to Kiri, the Gunner job NPC. You need Ryan Cokes to match the number of times you wish to upgrade it (1 Ryan Cokes for +1, 2 Ryan Cokes for +2, etc.) and a bit of gold. I think purple equip upgrades cost somewhere in the 12k gold range.

I'm not sure if there's a chance of failure anywhere, as I haven't upgraded anything beyond +5 by myself yet.

AFAIK, the thief is out in KMS DFO. Or something.

Tbh, crafting materials aren't going to be very useful to you other than quests. Of the whole time I've been playing (2 weeks now I believe) I've only found two recipes for equipment off of enemies, and in both cases, I had way more than I needed to make them.

Actually, elemental crystals can be a problem, as they can only be gotten by disassembling purple-named equipment. All you have to do is get lucky once though (get 100+ crystals from one equip), and you'll probably be set for a very long time.

As for making +# equipment, make sure the equipment you want to upgrade (Reinforce in DFO) has full durability points. Talk to Cinda or Kargon or Delilah to have them repair your stuff. Then you visit Kiri with Ryan Cokes in hand, and tell her "I wanna upgrade my stuff!" Be careful though, as after +3, there's a chance for upgrade failure, which usually resets your reinforcement value. The higher your reinforcement value, the more severe the penalty is, until at some point, you can destroy your item. I've seen a message saying that someone destroyed a +12 gaiters or something.

Eww a ninja

It costs 52k gold for me to upgrade a lvl 32 purple weapon.
Anybody that can survive Purgatorium and still have fatigue wanna go in on Master+ with me and take down this weirdo Nemesis guy? Nobody so far in 30 minutes has wanted to go kill that dude. :<

Forget about the Dendroids and the Golidens. Get whatever easy points you can on them, but don't waste too much time on them. Find some Lugarus and farm your style and tech from them.

Or I could just lead a party and take you to Dendroid King's.

Sell your stuff on dfosource if no one here wants it. With the money you make, you can buy some purple/green equips on there for yourself. YOU HAVE TO MAKE MANNI TO SPEND MANNI.

Bleh, level 33 is another grind level. About 10 more First Spine Master's runs to go...
