Ive been using twitter since last year and started to use facebook earlier this year... I dont see anything wrong with both but some people just had to defame it badly...

And in fact, im planning to but the new INQ Chat 3G next year when singtel releases it.

i doubt they HATE it necissarily, i bet they find the technology quite useful. its just the way that people go about using certain networking sites that annoy the crap out of them.

Twitter makes no sense to me (Facebook does the exact same thing with status updates) as anything more than a marketing tool (find person with 100,000 followers, get them to promote ___, pay them a small bit...). Facebook/myspace/w/e are fine with me though. Twitter is the only one that seems shallow and unnecessary/redundant.

I use Facebook regularly (perhaps too much). Twitter on the other hand is just retarded since it doesn't do anything new, but rather puts an uncessesary limit on something that already existed. Honestly, it seems as though the only people who use Twitter are companies or tv shows, then the people who feel compelled to comment on said page.

In my opinion, facebook is just like msn except everyone else can read your conversations... I only use facebook for joining school clubs and stuff, which I still find mostly useless...
I never tried twitter cause heard it's worse than facebook, and I find it stupid typing up all the details of what you had for lunch for the entire world to know.
I might try google wave once it's out of beta, cause everything made by google is good

Facebook doubles as an e-mail system and a personal status broadcast (I wonder how ___ is doing, let me check their facebook real quick). Good place to check relationship status too

I hate Twitter because I don't really want to know that you are "Doing nothing" every 3 damn minutes.

Hate Myspace, but I love Facebook. Facebook is just geared towards young adults, imo. MySpace is for preteens, lol... I use FB to upload pics of myself and my friends, and just tourism attractions and what-not, that I got to experience.

Because of FB, I get to also:
a) Look at my chick-friends' pics, some of them, I have a small crush on, lulz
b) Know my friends more, sorta.
c) Get to re-unite with old friends that I haven't seen since forever.

I don't like Twitter because I find the concept so stupid and I don't like the way that stuff from it can be put onto forums to force everybody to read it.

All these Twitters and Facebooks are just the evolutions of MySpace. They are prominent because while MySpace achieved great fame and popularity, its coding was ghetto and they didn't update it well enough. Networking sites are plagued with predators such as pedophiles and stalkers because these stupid sites get people to disclose their info. Sharing info is the purpose of their existence.

I didn't use MySpace that much, and I won't use Facebook or Twitter or antyhing else. I don't WANT random people seeing my pictures, and my family's pictures, who my friends are. That's because I HAVE met people on the internet that are stalkers, creeps, and psychos, and they are methodical and smart to collect your info and then take the "relationship" into real-life in ways you'd rather not contemplate.

I don't much like putting myself on display. I used to have a Myspace, though I deleted it after building up about 500 buddies (makes no freaking sense when people add you just to be a number). It's disheartening to see how fake people can be or seem, as well.

I didn't like Twitter before I used it, but now, using it, it does have it's moments. Besides, I have it linked to my FB page, and it auto updates that too. I guess it is just choice.

Enjoy sharing your personal information with the entire internet.

Also hate twitter because nothing important can possibly said in that ridiculously tiny character limit.
