And that's why I said "valid", if the enemy can still perform anything it's not a valid combo(for a super melee like striker at least)

It seemed to work fine against mob, takes out a good chunk of boss hp before they fly off(except the supplex part)

I'm both lucky and cursed - I don't have to worry about comboing, but on the same note, I can't if i want to (barring short 2-3 move combos, such as BBQ ---> Gatling ---> Cannon Ball. Most of my skills are pretty easy to predict and dodge as well, hitting pretty much a line or cone in front of me, some with a minimum range that can be exploited. I'm also immobile during the majority of my attacks. When I'm lv 30, I gain a flamethrower that I can walk and cast, but it's more narrow than my default one, and I move slowly while using it. I doubt I'll put more than 1 point in it for PvP.
What are some good launcher skills? Also does upgrading purple items give better results than white items? Because i have a +5 Secondhand Heavy Cannon and it's only getting +8 piercing phys and +5 piercing magic.

Upgrading seems to go by base stats. Purples generally have higher base stats.
I would find a replacement for anything you use that is "secondhand, discolored, antique, etc" as they are generally weaker items.

Launchers specialize in long-range and AoE attacks. Flamethrower for large mobs, Gatling for mobs lined up nicely. Steyr Rifle is good for knockback and circular mobs (follow with flamethrower for a nice combo, but beware super-armored enemies). At level 25 you get the Laser Rifle, which, Kajiti can attest to, has some crazy absurd range, and has great damage as well (126%+987 at level 2). However, all your skills will eat MP like nothing else, so be careful what you use and where.

Cannon Ball is a great knock-down move for large mobs, but it's damage is nothing special. BBQ functions exactly like Jack Spike with a longer cooldown, but has the added touch of a few invincibility frames and some amazing damage during the gatling portion. Backstep is a good move to have in general. Rising shot only needs 1 point, if that, for when you're using a bowgun and want some good aerial combos. You won't see much use from it using a hand cannon.

Windmill is a must. Period. It is your primary defensive move against melee attackers, and you WILL suffer without it in PvP.

Yes.

I seem to have issues partying with Loose =( I just want to run with my brah.

It always gives this message:
You have invited this character to your Party.
This character has disconnected from the game.
Yet he hasn't.
 Spoiler

I would presume it may have something to do with his connection over there, but still. When he attempts to invite me, he gets a message saying
This character cannot join any Party now.

Pretty damn annoying.

Seriously, I have no use for them. I have a flamethrower and a fire-element gun, blowing up plants will come easy to me
Oh god some classes are so cheap at pvp. Priest spamming super armor and mage spamming that ball with no cool down, and witch flying around =.=''

Oh and how can I forget summoner/mach spamming their little toys
Loose Wrote:About equipment reinforcement, is there a chance my item will break? Make it be gone forever? I'm to scared and cheap to try it.

Yeah it can blow up... I didn't SS it but I got my revolver to +9 and tried to throw another upgrade on it but sadly... it blew up.

EDIT: I think the chances for item failure/destruction increase as the number of weapon upgrades on that weapon increase.

Stuff blows up after +8 upgrades. AFAIK, no one's gotten past +16.

Upgrading success table
^Lol. I was checking to see whether or not that was posted yet...funny how it happened to be on the very last post. xD

That and the Behemoth's Second Spine is FAIL in dungeon form...when you folks get there...you'll understand. -.-

It's been posted before. Go search for it some time =P (and that's how I know about the approximate boom ratings)
Oh...back on pages 12 and 19. :o

I wonder when he put that in...xD

Anyway, GBL Arad Branch is a fun place with a party. :3

Edit: 0.000330687708265476093930048% chance of making a +16 weapon. Slightly below 1/3024...Lulz.

I saw some guy blow up a +12 Worn Katana while upgrading it to +13...amuses me how an announcement shows up for the risky upgrades. xD
I can't enter any dungeons, all it says is "Your fatigue points have reached 0; you cannot enter any dungeons." What do I do?

You're going to have to wait for your fatigue to reset. It resets everyday at 6 AM PDT which should be in about 5 minutes.

How much of those skills do you need? Like which ones to max, which ones to get just 1 etc. I think i screwed something up... I got 5 Windmill and 6 jack spike... =S Is it worth it to reset if i have the NX?
JoeTang Wrote:I seem to have issues partying with Loose =( I just want to run with my brah.
I also can't connect enough to PvP properly. I'm 90% sure it's on my side, since I have to do some crazy connection stuff to be able to play this game in Mexico. : (

When they stop blocking my Mexican IP, I'm sure everything will be ok.
Holypie Wrote:How much of those skills do you need? Like which ones to max, which ones to get just 1 etc. I think i screwed something up... I got 5 Windmill and 6 jack spike... =S Is it worth it to reset if i have the NX?

Windmill is a great pvp skill, great pve too when you need some close range mobbing power, you'd most likely get hit after it though. And you need 5 spike for BBQ anyways, 6 isn't too bad.

I would not suggest anyone who's new to this game to SP reset right now. At least get to 40 or something so you have a better overall view of the game/skills, and hopefully you'll only have to reset one time. It's fucking 25dollars Eek
Well the problem is that I hardly ever PvP and I never use windmill in PvE because i always use BBQ, Gatling or Flamethrower. And thats 100 SP that i can put to better use... Well I'll just live with it I guess. And I really want to get to level 20 so I can use my not very good +7 Secondhand Heavy Cannon =]

You really shouldn't ever have more than 1 point in Windmill on a Launcher - it doesn't improve greatly for the rare times you'll be cornered, and if you're finding yourself using it a lot, you're doing something wrong Sad
Granted, it's our only defensive measure against melee attackers. However, it won't improve tremendously, and is used more to get out of tight spots than for actual damage. 100 points not given to BBQ, Gatling, Steyr, Laser Rifle, etc are 100 points that you're really going to miss down the road.I would honestly suggest restarting your character at this point, not buying NX to reset. Make sure to have someone hang onto your gear until then. You're also going to want a minimum of 5 points in Cannon Ball (even if you never use it) to unlock some end-game skills.

Jack Spike you don't need higher than the minimum for BBQ. I'm actually taking it off my keyboard when I need hotkey space later on.
