Macros?
#1
I dunno if there has been a topic like this already but what kind of skills did you make using skill macros?

Me:
Mongoose Bite (Yes I took the name from WoW)
= Sword Booster + Power Strike + Power Strike
I use this to trigger my chance for the final attack and in the end if successful I land like 4 fast hits on a single monster. The only major drawback is that the time taken to use sword booster (since it's only level 1)

Blade Flurry
= Sword Booster + Slash Blast + Slash Blast
Again same as Mongoose Bite only it's more of a fast mobbing attack.

What did you name your skills and what combinations did you use?

Terry's rage
-Haste, Shadow partner, booster.
It makes me ready to fight stuff. Also, Terry is my shadow partner's name :p

RETREAT!
-Disorder, Dark sight.

Dispel:
Magic Guard + Booster

The reasoning behind this is during a boss fight, if dispelled, I'll shout out the skill name while casting. Magic Guard first to ensure survival, and booster keeping a fast attacking speed is more than an attack buff can provide.

To accompany my dispel macro, I have booster separately.

Medit:
Meditation + Magic Armor
This increases my magic attack and finishes off with a lesser but faster skill that increases my def. I usually finish casting this.

I like to keep my macros at two spells per macro, because with three per macro, you need to keep recasting it to get the third one to work (because more than likely, you'll get hit by a monster while casting).

That's also the reason I keep magic armor after medit, because the def isn't needed as much during a bossfight. (Since, what will you be touching anyways?)

If I ever get (to that level), my last macro will be:
Reflect
Mana Reflection + Maple Warrior
Mana Reflection is important, and so is Maple Warrior, but I'd probably have Maple Warrior from someone else immediately when dispelled.
I'll put that in front of my Medit skill if ever given the chance (I line up the macros).

My macros don't stop upon enemy hits... O_o

Maybe you just "panic" a bit, and press left-right, wich does indeed cut it.

Actually, at pap, if I don't get dispeled and I recast, I try not to move at all, but even then, I notices that sometimes when I MG, I don't cast booster if hit. This is also true if I try to cast from the ladder. If I get hit and fall off the ladder, I don't complete the macro.

But this was tested a while ago... so IDK if they fixed it or not.
However, most of the time, if KBed, you are forced to move, and it gets annoying to recast. =/

OH, now that I think, pressing any emote stops it, too... Jumping should do it, too.

uhm... maybe the F1 face that shows up after being hit only affects some people... That'd be interesting.

Hold: Strafe + Blizzard + Strafe

It's very useful while scouting higher level places at 7x. Because of skill switching delay, manually using Blizzard > Strafe > Strafe would never be as fast or efficient.

In addition to the macro I also have Strafe by itself and Blizzard by itself. If something messes up my rhythm, I hit Blizzard once or twice for safety before switching to the macro. And Strafe alone is, obviously, for when the stuff I'm fighting isn't so life-threatening.

I have two on my Islander that I made in v56, before filters.

Penis
- Three Shells

"eff you c kay"* ed
- HP recovery

It's fun to have newer players freak out when I have "Shout Name" ticked. :]

*you get the idea? Fiel's filters fail. :[

I just put all my buffs (haste, booster, etc.) under "Buffs". The end. D:

I used to have 3 double stabs as Trible Stab. More like Sextople stab, but whatever.

I find that macros work a bit weird. Even when Im not moving they sometimes dont all cast. I dont know why, it just works that way.

My macros:

booster-soul arrow-sharp eyes. I train at sharks hunting for SE 20 so they dispel me some times. Its easier to just press 1 key than to press 3.

dragon pulse-puppet. Knocks them back far (causing aggro), then puppet draws them away from me. I dont really use this one. When I do DP-puppet, I manually do it for some reason. I guess I never got into the habit of it. That and you cant puppet while swimming.

Strafe-strafe-strafe. LolHurricane. 'nough said.

I don't trust them, so I use them very minimally, and solely for the amusing purposes of shouting weird things.

RAWR!
-Dragon Roar

IK BEN DOM (Dutch for "I'm stupid")
-Power Stance
-Spear/Polearm Booster

The one thing I wanted macros for was so I could put spear/PA booster on one button, I can't even do that D:

I don't like macros, even though I normally cast five/six skills in a row.
[Soul Arrow, Focus, Booster, Sharp Eyes, Maple Warrior, Frostprey]
Just too used to pressing them all separately, and it doesn't bother me.

But I have one I use for bossing.
lol. - Strafe-Snipe-Strafe.

The macro shouting thing really, really annoys me. <_<

Anyway, don't use them at all, honestly they arn't useful. I tried CB + recharge, but it ended up being slower then doing it manually...

If the macros were a little less primitive I might use them, right now the only use I'd have is recasting a charge after Charge Blow and there's a 50% chance I don't need to do that so I don't bother.
