Opeth's tips for unwashed Papulatus soloing

When I papped with unwashed hp, I tryed to use that technique where you put puppet on the other side of the screen so pap could not atack. This is very risky when the bombs are not maxed out yet because pap becomes invincible when he heals while makes him able to move for a couple seconds. If he moves close enough he can stun you and if ur unlucky he will spawn a bomb next to you and you will die.

Another problem using this technique if bombs are not maxed out is that he can summon bombs to act like sheilds and pap can get closer that way which is risky.

I use this technique all the time but just remember to move back a bit when he heals becuase he will almost be always be walking, dispeling, stunning. Also there is almost no risk in using this technique if the bombs are maxed out and you can kb pap 90% of the time.

i think once it change to 2nd form, summon puppet behind of you and duck. It will pass through you and goes to the puppet. then its time for you to att. do the same thing when the puppet is gone.

Are you able to knockback Pap consistently? Because that's the only way I could see this technique working. If you're unable to keep him back of course he's going to run you down to try and reach your Puppet. Definitely not recommended if you're not strong enough.

I knock him back 95%(about the chance i don't get crit) of the time with a 20 atck pot and 90% of the time with 12 atck pot, what im saying is that if you have unwashed hp it is riskier to put the puppet on the other side of the room because when he heals he becomes invincible for a couple seconds which lets him move(If you are not careful, he will stun you as he comes closer and summon a bomb next to you.

I tried that Puppet thing a few hours ago and its great. Saves a lot on pots. Pap got a bit unruly at times, but the overall outcome is good.

Sounds good . I noticed it on a video once. Try it on other bosses too, its fun to play with.

I could try. Fraps doesn't run too well on my PC, and if you noticed by the screenies I play with graphics on low.

This is what I do: Bring Pinks/Powers a long to use whenever Pap 1/1s and about 400 Barbs will last me through 1 fight. Bring 1k if you're not sure. Then whatever pinks/powers Pap drops from the first kill, you can use on the second. I just keep recycling them.

I only used your Pinks when we were duoing and you didn't feel like getting blown up. I always give you the Pink/Powers at the end anyway. ;[

But I suppose if you want to try frapping for me, and just not doing any damage, that'd be fine. Might be a bit boring though.

you might want to add somewhere that bombs exploding is a weapon attack.

That means that those 30 Wdef pots from omega, or any other Wdef pot can help lower the damage you take. I use them because they lower the bomb damage whenever your HP is near the edge, helps make it less risky, and I kinda like the timer on it.

Another question - How much time would be a successful pap solo with your range usually? I'm planning to do a test run with Onyx apples because I cannot KB Pap yet, I'm only 122.

I don't know. I never really timed it, but I do use around 3 and a half Warrior Elixirs by the time Pap dies. So maybe 25 miinutes?

I'd pretty much say you have to be cautious in the enemys attacks and don't take one eye of his movements.

if green is the dangerzone which way do u run
run towards pap o.o or far away from the green zone to the right side

Common sense would say run away from Pap to the right since Bombs can summon on the left in front of you as well.
