I'm getting into it now that I've realised your "backpack" isn't your item bag as a whole but rather an unexplained entity available but slightly hidden during missions. Being able to toss unnecessary items out so I can open boxes makes my life so much easier.

It's a damn slow game, though. The story so far is pretty uninspired and even though the Disney worlds exist, they might as well not, because they have no bearing on anything besides being a change of scenery (which only last for the first visit because end up going through the same areas repeatedly for multiple missions.)

I enjoy the doing the challenges but... my partners get in the way a lot. One problematic challenge was Mission 08, Challenge 2: Finish In Record Time / Eliminate the Watchers. My partner would be off killing one enemy and I'd for another but as soon as she realised I was fighting without her she charged in and pushed me out of the way to attack it. And she does pomegranate damage. I'm using Valor 2 which has a ground-combo skill, and when the things would go to the ground she would get in the way disallowing me to get the combo (and thus kill them.) Stupid AI pisses me off more than anything else.

Also, the gameplay is really slow. By this point in any other kingdom hearts game I'd have double jump and a jetpack to make traveling easier and more fun. But not this game. I have haste and Jump Slide, the most useless skill of all.

Overall, I'm not very impressed. It's interesting at best but it doesn't seem like they wanted to put a whole lot of effort into this while they've got their real baby coming out on the PSP (which I'm actually very excited for because I know it'll be A++.) It just seems like something meant to tide fans over until a REAL release. Kind of like Nexon's last patch.

edit: Oh and also there's not enough to stuff to buy and make. When you first meet your merchanting moogle mate he's got all sorts of goodies and synthables but as soon as you buy them... you're done. I've had ONE new item pop up and I don't have two of the four necessary items to merchant it which tells me that's only new item I'm going to see for a while; at least until I start seeing those items drop/in chests. Then maybe another untouchable item will show up. Personally, I'd like to see new items after every big story piece. Since the game splits quests into groups for us (2 -3 intro quests then a necessary and 4 - 6 unnecessary quests) it gives plenty of time for el-moog to restock. I have so much money and so much heart (my posts may not reflect this...) and I would much rather be broke.

Trust me, this game is a lot longer than you think. I'm on Day 322 and I have a bunch of abilities, some abilities that are new to this KH game such as "float" and whatnot. I have a ton of abilities, and those abilities can be linked with so many other panals to give your current abilities various effects. It's so crazy how you can customize your character, although you will never be able to have every ability. They made this game very multiplayer-worthy by having each player use the weapons/abilities/setup they're best with instead of just max everything and having it all at once.

This game is more than amazing for me since I'm a major Organization XIII fan, and this game is meant to expand on their personalities. So those who don't have much interest in that might find it a little slow, but for fans like me who've been dying for this (since they screwed up oh-so-dearly on KH2) are loving every second of it. Also much of the plotholes are being filled up even since the early starts of the game, but many people who don't pay much attention to the KH story don't even realize such plotholes are there to begin with.

Most of the missions I dislike are the "Organization Symbol" ones because they require such precise timing and speed. I recently got Haste from doing challenge missions, and I have Level 2 or 3 Superglide so I'll try them again soon.

Oh, and there is one boss you're definitely going to hate, just hope you don't ragequit or something. I'm not sure if you're the person who hates spoilers or not, so I'll give a hint: "It deals with treasure." Every person I've come across, including myself, loathed this boss a great deal. It's just so tedious and slow it's ridiculous.

Well; I got this yesterday. Been playing it for a bit, seeing as I haven't really moved out of bed for the past 2 or so days from my surgery.

I'm only only on like, day 75. It's still going really slow to me. I'm just stuck in some stupid Agrabah Level. Can't figure out how to get up that high to hit that other square thingy.

But overall I'm liking it; I'm liking the story behind everything.

The flame boxes? I had the same problem except that I couldn't find number 2. Go to the last room (where you hit the cog to open a door on the unreachable platform and just jump off into the darkness. You'll land in the first room but on the catwalks above which is where number 2 is.

So can you throw out things during missions to open boxes? I am liking it.

Yeah, go to items and if you don't have any potions/ether/etc. panels equipped it'll open directly to your bag where you can pick-and-choose what you want and what you don't. If you do have healing tablets on, just keep pressing X in items and it'll go to your bag after it highlights the last item.

Any item you toss out can be picked up again in case you make a mistake, but only while you're in the same mission. The bag clears after every mission, of course. You don't need to toss stuff unless you're out of room, really.

Just beat the game. Loved it. Things got pretty crazy towards the end, but I'll keep this spoiler free. Took me a little over 30 hours because I was taking my time trying to fully complete missions, even though I wasn't able to complete them all, let alone completely. I came across an optional-heartless boss near the end of the game that took down about 80% of my HP or so in one hit while I was Level 5X, so I didn't even bother with him just yet. Keep in mind, this is on Normal mode. I'm not going to play Proud mode for a while, I'm going to concentrate on Mission Mode and playing as the other Organization members for a while.

At any rate, the game overall was amazing if you're a major Organization XIII fan, great if you're a general KH-in-particular-fan, and might be confusing otherwise. This game was overshadowed by BBS for most of the KH community, and mainly lived up to the expectations to those who found Organization XIII interesting, such as myself. I just wish I knew people around here that played KH, let alone people around my age of 20.

I'm hoping Birth by Sleep will impress me as well. Days seemed to be mainly for Organization XIII fans and those who wanted great KH multiplayer. Even though BBS will have a multiplayer mode, I strongly doubt it will be as organized as Days', but I could be wrong.

My rating for the game is a 10/10, it exceeded my already high expectations.

The game itself probably deserves an 8/10 or 8.5/10 for the general video game user who has played other KH games. The story can be a little confusing, and it may seem slow for those that don't have a strong interest in this Organization nor understand the point of the game.

The leveling system is unique, as it is in all KH games, which can be some for fun, a stress for others, though probably the latter consists of the minority. The overall gameplay is well-received almost unanimously, with a possible flaw consisting of the camera, which is something most KH games fall short of. While it may not be a problem at all for a major (KH) gamer, it can be problematic for a casual gamer.

The fact that the game can continue to live on with Mission Mode and multiplayer mode with such a wide range of characters (almost that of Super Smash Bros. Melee) which each character generally having unique combos, limits, customization, et cetera adds to the overall value of the game. Even though there may be people who will not be able to experience playing this game with another friend, they will still have the option of playing Mission Mode solo while at the same time experimenting with other characters.

With over 30 hours of gameplay clocked in, without having completed the secret missions, unlocking all of the characters, nor getting far in mission mode, this is a great game considering it's on the Nintendo DS.

That is my overall (mini) review of this game.

That's KotS. No where near bad enough to make me angry. Only thing that's made me really mad was breaking jars in Beast's Castle and those ghosts that could basically one shot you.

I'm on day 352 now.

I'm loving it so far. It's taken a while, but it's starting to pick up at Day 193. @_@

I'm loving the story as well. It's going good. Just wish there was more gameplay and less of "Go do this and this and this then RTC."

Usually, I look forward to the Coliseum in KH. In this one, there isn't all that much to do (or else I haven't gotten there yet).

But overall I'm liking it. I just wish I could remember crap from the first and second games. First game I played through roughly 6 years ago? I was in 5th grade, that's all I can remember. Second one I played through in 3 days after having my wisdom teeth out; let's put it this way: loratab makes you forget a lot of stuff. I don't remember ANYTHING from KH2 at all. I was gonna replay it, but I can't find my dam PS2.

HOLY DUSTFLIER BATMAN

Intense.

Maybe BBS or KH3 will finally include a toy story world. It seems likely with the announcement of TS3.

HOLY pomegranate I JUST BEAT DUSTFLIER NDHSIHIADO YES.

That took so long and by the end my palms were all sweaty and my heart is pounding so fast muahaha. He kept using his effing fireballs near the end and anyone who's fought him knows that one hit = 20 hits and death so.

That's all of the missions/treasure/emblems done. Only challenges left.

Beat the game a few days ago, but didn't feel like posting really xD

I think it's the best DS game I've ever played, great story, gameplay (although the lock on system can be annoying at times). I didn't attempt the "great boss" yet though. Right now I'm busy looking for a couple Gear Component D but I can't seem to be able to find any (I've redone mission 74 a lot of times already and still didn't get one once!).

The mission mode is really cool, and I really wonder if there's a PvP mode (there are 100% resistance rings against every characters attacks, although it would be a little broken). I still like to play as Roxas most of the time, but I still have to unlock 2 more characters. Xigbar is also is very nice, especially when I'm fighting bosses or things like Zip Slashers(or any other of it's 'family') since he appears to freeze every 4 combos (ground, while using Rage gear and Frozen Blight), but against smaller enemies he's horrible.

I really advice everyone who is into this kind of games to get this one, because it's awesome.

I'm currently doing the Challenge missions to get the tokens and to unlock more secret reports. I currently have 89 Challenge tokens and 52 Mission Mode tokens.

I haven't even attempted Dustflier yet since I beat the game, but I'll do so now.

EDIT: Dustflier defeated with the use of 1 Hi Potion, 1 Hi Ether, and 1 Elixir.
