JoeTang Wrote:Wanna run with my Mage tomorrow? She's 15 right now, might bring her up a bit tonight. I've got some Shadow Thunderland quests that I'm not too keen on since everything is Dark Resistant. Plus things are always more fun with a party! And you probably need help with some Time Attack Quests? Unless that's just me who fails at them.
Yeah, I'd love to. I'll be able to go at just about any time, except the couple hours I'll be gone getting back to my dorm (I'm at home right now). I actually have all the Time Attack quests done (up to Blazing Grakfalkdjwhatever--which is where I am currently). I can usually get them done with 1-2 mins to spare, depending.
I would love help with that stupid "learn how to party XD" quest though. Something like party and complete Mirkwood/Thunderland. Don't remember. I've never partied, so I can't get it done. And for some reason, I can NOT rank B Poison Thunderland. I get C every single time, and it just so happens a quest calls for getting B in it. HALP.
But yeah, besides that, it'll be fun in general.

I'm about to get online on Field, I also have to do that learn to party quest. So, just message me if you're up for it.
For higher ranking, try doing longer combos, overkills, back attacks, aerials; whatever raises your Technic and Style.

I get OVERKILL on almost every monster I kill. Haha My Style is usually 1-10% (I've actually gotten worse at it from yesterday) and my Technic is 50-70%. I think my battle style isn't considered FANCY enough. I'm much more BAM BAM SAVAGE.
Just something about that whore Poison Thunderland that refuses to go up just one more letter rank. I've been able to pull off A or B rank on the other dungeons.

Anyone know how to find Karkazaks (those super red zombies)? I've got one left to kill and I can't find it in Poison Thunderland, it's pissing me off.
By the way, how do you forge/craft/maker skill stuff? I see that in my General Skill tab I have Craft, Weaving, Chemistry, etc. but I can't use them.

They're in Shadow Thunderland. I think they're fairly rare, with one or two per dungeon, so you might have to search every room for one.
No idea what those forging skills do, maybe it's something with a recipe, but it's pretty redundant. CHECK YOUR MAIL BRO. loludied.

I keep on "dying" because I disconnect or get the bot thing wrong... stupid "Only US and Canada can play" and bot catching system.

I know exactly how to find Karkaza!
He appears in the room opposite of the boss room, and I believe he only appears when the boss room is entered through the bottom. So if you start in the bottom left corner, go until the split room and if the boss is at the bottom, take the top path until you come to a three way split and go down. Karkaza is there.

Wanted to compare Striker to Grappler.
Super Armor: DEF Buff. Adds massive DEF and gives Super Armor.
Crushing Fist: Fast Punch forward; like Muse except without the launching, just goes straight. Can move far, and it stops monsters in their tracks for a small amount of time. Grounds any monsters in the air, flat. Pretty high damaging attack.
Power Fist: Attack Buff. Gives some STR in exchange for slower attack speed. I don't use it much, just a prerequisite for later.
Mountain Pusher: Exactly like the Dash attack, where you plow in with your Shoulder. HUGE damage. Can hit things lying down, so it's great after Muse -> Crushing. If you use it while dashing, you move a big distance forward. I use Crushing Fist in one direction, followed by Mountain Pusher in the opposite, like Boomerang Step. Fancy stuff. Don't know what hit 'em.
Bone Crusher: Low Kick with bone crushing. Slightly slower than Low Kick, possibly because it's level 1, but it does massive damage and can slow targets.
Fatal Aim: Buff that gives Critical and Hit Rate. (4% and 1% at level 1 respectively)
Muscle Shift: A buff. Lets you cancel an attack (once at level 1 per use) even without the ___Cancel skill; presumably useful for canceling the below skills and Bone Crusher which don't have Cancels.
Tornado Kick: QCB+Kick. Think Street Fighter; Ken, Ryu, Akuma.
I've never seen the rest of the skills, but I assume Beat Drive is sexy. Too bad I can't learn it...
Level cap is 40 right?
After completing that doucher Albert's long chain of stupid quests (particularly, the 10 Clear Whole Cube, 2 of every other), you get to learn Cross Class skills from him
Grappler: Neck Snap - Turns enemy around 300% damage; +5% critical on Back attacks
Nen Master: Suplex Thunder as seen above
Brawler: Apply Poison - Chance to poison with attacks; 1 second duration poison, 52 Strength; buff length = downtime length.
I haven't tried any of these, but I assume Suplex Thunder would be useful to Grapplers, and I should probably try Neck Snap when I reach the level. I'm just a bit doubtful over the usefulness of Apply Poison.
And yes, I have level 1 Iron Physique for some reason. I wish I didn't.

Mega image with Grappler's skills. I also get Tornado Kick from Strikers, everything else is the same as 1st job.

Down to just those quests left at level 14. 7/21 White, 7/21 Black, 14/21 Red and 21/21 Blue on that stupid whore girl's quest. Goodness that one is ridiculous to do solo. Three green ones are: 50% Style in Mirkwood (I absolutely suck at Style), Party defeat Thunderland and B Rank Poison Thunderland (gah).
Gonna go try beating Blazing Grakqarak in under 8 mins. I was really close on my 2nd attempt, so I should be able to pull it off. Either that or I'll go try the Grakqarak on Master quest. I'm a little scared though. lol
Anyone wanna join/help me in a bit (after I go shower)?
---
HELL YES A RANK POISON THUNDERLAND
Tried out some heavy Style fighting instead of my pure Technic fighting. Now I gotta B Rank Grakqarak! Easily beat Blazing Grakqarak within 8 mins (I did it in 6). Level 15 now too.

Canna's quest is EASY. You get the rewards needed to complete her quest by completing an epic quest with Loton. Don't bother doing runs just to complete her quest.

Anyone know what the Noob-o-Meter does? I partied with Ben yesterday and it raised it to 2%. Does it ever go away?

It affects exp/money gained from quests. No idea if it goes down, I assume it resets daily.

^I think it's when you party with people 7level higher than you.
What is the sky tower equivalent of treasure box?

Well, SNAPS. I just SS'd Blazing Grakqarak! Got 54% Style and 92% Technic. It's crazy fighting with "Style" though. I take so much more damage. lol Kinda fun. Got Force Palm, which made it a lot easier.
Now let's see if I can't do that stupid 50% Style Mirkwood quest...
---
Goodness! This isn't hard at all. I think I finally understand this system. Easily S'd Mirkwood and got 60% Style (had to use no weapon though lol). Now I gotta do all these Style quests!

Alright, I deleted my Magician as I don't want reduced quest exp. I started another toon, though. Add "Fellate".
