Monkey Statue

I forgot which thread this was mentioned in, so I'm making a new one. Monkey statues into Badlands? Not as out of the question as you'd think.

Actually, monkey statues are the only ones not on the map.

Just because it's not on the map, doesn't mean it's not there!

I am confused. What significance does this monkey statue thing have that compelled you to create a thread about it?

i believe he's alluding that that could be the entrance to the badlands expansion to masteria which doesnt fully exist yet. i think its plausible, nice find btw.

Would they really make the entrance that obscure?

if it doesnt exist yet, or is supposed to be hidden like the dragon door, its possible. its all speculation at this point anyway, but possible.

The badlands map is tied to the city directly. It appears to be connected to the "New Leaf City" sign that the major stands in front of.

The map in question is far off in the outskirts.

There could be an expansion there, but I do not believe it could be the badlands area. If I had to guess, I would say it would be a link to the Phantom Forest area or a link to the Krakia area or some other link to another area we don't have yet.

The badlands area I would say probably comes out of the town and goes down the path to the southeast.

Yes, they said there were no monkey statues present IN THE BADLANDS map, not that there were no monkey statues elsewhere in the outskirts.

The screenshots he posted proved there were no monkey statues in there before, and there definitely aren't any now either.

There's one right next to the damn subway entrance, and I know for a fact there's atleast 2 more in the badland maps.

They've been there forever, too, so I honestly don't see what all this is about.

Maybe it is something relevant to a future masteria area.
Whenever I think of a monkey statue I think of Kim Possible.

I was just thinking where the entrance to Badlands may be and it created this chaos. Since there's a least one statue in Badlands (could have sworn there were more) and the map seems to be monkey-statue themed, I was thinking the entrance would be the monkey statue to the left of the subway entrance.

Touche, oh mighty discoverer of things.

My point still stands however. The badlands map is connected to the city itself and not a far off outskirts map. It seems as though it is itself the first map of a second outskirts area, an area which, given that the map now houses the dragon door, probably would lead to the Dragon Ninja area. And on top of this, the most logical position I can think of for these things are in the lower right of the world map, not the upper center.

Yeah, eventually it turned out that there was a monkey statue there. however there's also the easter island slime statues and yeti statues and so on in that map too, so I don't really see why the monkey is so special.
