5.4 Maginitude Earthquake in SoCal.

I live about 12 miles from LA, according to Google maps. The earthquake was also felt here.

We get wildfires, storms, AND earthquakes. Woo!

Yeah, I had enough of my share of earthquakes back in my early days on Guam.

They're not fun, especially ones that throw the island you're living on around like a baseball.

I am looking forward to the day California falls into the sea, more so just for the entertainment value and what lies after a portion of the coast line is submerged.

I had an earthquake in 2nd grade, Seattle. It was weird. :o

There was an earthquake in Seattle when I was like in grade 6 and just recently moved to Vancouver.

I think during that I was in 3rd grade and at school. I still remember my idiot classmates running into the room from recess like a bunch of disorientated chickens.

In any case, the earthquake affected one of my friends in the area a bit, but that's all I've heard of it besides the news.

Closest thing I've ever been to a natural disaster was hurricane Andrew a couple years back in Florida. All I thought was how awesome it looked outside, what with it being all gray, windy, and completely desolate.

Oh, I rarely play Maple enough anymore to really mind other versions but, I'm sure I will mourn for all the people submerged under hundreds of thousands of pounds of coastline.

I remember that earthquake. I was at home watching cartoons in the living room. Everything started shaking and I ran into my room and jumped onto my bed face down, lol. That was the first big earthquake I had ever been in so I had no idea what to do.


I was at work in Irvine when it happened yesterday. The blinds started making a lot of noise and the floor was rumbling. Me and my officemate both looked at each other and we're like "earthquake????" At first I thought he was shaking the floor cause our floors shake easy, but then I realized it was shaking a lot more than that and I could hear the shaking in the walls and windows too. Then we both jumped under our desks, lol. It felt like 10 seconds of shaking for us.

After we got up and looked out the window, we laughed cause we saw a group of people that had run out of the building next to us and were just staring at the building. They sure got out fast.

I couldn't make a phone call on my cell for a good hour and a half. My officemate was able to get through after like 10 minutes though.

He said one of his friend's brother was at the gym in pomona (7 miles from epicenter) swimming when it hit. He got out of the pool really fast, lol. He said stuff was falling over but no real damage.

Oh wow, talk about irony.

I live like 2:30 hours (minus traffic) from LA. But here's the ironic part: We went a little further north than San Diego today, and never felt a damn thing. I'd say I was in the car, but honestly, I have never felt an earthquake. Everyone's always like 'Did you feel that? That was a good quake.' I'm just like wtp WHEN?
