Oooooh, scary guys with cliche emo hair.

Ya, I think how they dress is weird, but they make awesome music.

Ya, the stuff I like most is deathcore/metalcore. I lsiten to a lot, but I like that stuff the most. (With the exceptions of TDWP/Underoath which are my 2 favorite bands.)

DGD/DEP sound a little too, dare I say, whiney to me, after listening to them. I like a deeper, more real scream. Or something out of the ordinary in instrumentals, etc. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule.

@ Youtube stuff: Moar. <3

@ DGD/DEP: I guess it's aquired taste, but DEP has some of the best instrumentals i've ever heard in my life. Heart

Well actually i enjoy a few other bands instrumentals including chiodos (F'ucking trumpet? Wat?).

@ opeth: I think most members of the bands i listen to are insane looking but i still love what they sing.

Experimental bands:
iwrestledabearonce - girl screamer/singer, heavy breakdowns followed by mellow, soothing parts. Deathcore mixed with soothing music, it is odd but wonderful.

Asking Alexandria - deathcore band who uses electronic in many of their songs, and has heavy instrumentals. Heavy, and "ravey" at the same time.

Sea of Treachery - First album was more of a melodic metal sound. amazing vocals, without crazily distorted guitars.

Sky Eats Airplane - Made their first album with a mac and 2 guys filling in the rest of the songs. Their second album, not as quite as good as their first, has a full band but still keeps a touch of electronica.

Attack Attack! - Amazing use of keys and techno sounds. Still retains the hardcore vocals/breakdowns but it is compromised of a fair amount of "techno"

Enter Shikari - BEST TECHNO IN HARDCORE MUSIC!

The other bands I have are a little more "generic" but still have their strengths (i.e. TDWP's/Underoaths amazing singers, 2 amazingly good screamers AND clean vocalists).

Now, as you commanded, more YouTube:

Silly Providence. That's like comparing a Mcdonalds hamburger to a 16oz steak.

I don't really like either. Goggleemoticon

16oz steaks are too big and tend to just taste like plain meat (we flavor meat for a reason, because it needs it) I prefer smaller strips of meat that can be flavored/cooked better.

I refuse to eat McDonalds. I have kept this up for 12 years.

Anyways, one of the best songs ever:

And really good piano intros:

I'd say "The Road to Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions" is like my third favorite song.

Yeah, liking adieu. Mellow songs by hardcore bands are always extremely enjoyable for me. Shine

It's cause they know how a soft song should sound.

EDIT: Felt like adding more music

The screamer for Our Last Night is 16, and he's been in the band since he was 11. His older brother does the clean vocals. Pretty cool, in my opinion.

But I don't like either of those bands, so the comparison is wrong.

That wasn't that bad, actually I enjoyed it. I would wish that the clean-vocal guy didn't sound like such a douche though.
