Since everyone else was posting gears I thought I would too. Still need to finish scrolling my zhelm, facestompers, and get a better gun, not sure if I'll get gutsy and chaos my cape again although I really want to.

Wow a 170 corsair using a 97 attk peacemaker. Looks like I'm good for AWHILE with my 94 attk peacemaker? lvl 100 atm.

Zakum Zakum Zakum.... So 1 night (think it was sunday) myself and a Corsair friend in bera who just passed me in levels decide we wanna Duo Zakum ^_^ so we grab some apples figure it should take us ~ an hour grab some pots then spend like... 3 hours getting 4 ppl to help us enter alter>.> so were finally in there =O was a great run, i think it was ~ as fast as my first Party Zaks in 14X total time was ~ 45-46 mins, this really surprised me, i had herd of a 14X corsair soloing Zak in like 2 and a half hours a few months ago and i was really expecting us to take almost an hour doing it but took us like 45 mins
It was a lot of fun even tho we wasted however much money (did bring 2 buyers with us even tho 1 died) so he prety much covered apples and i was delighted to hear about a friend Hero who was higher than me who had Duo'd with another Hero (also higher and much stronger than i) and it took them longer to down the great rock beast than me and adam *pride gets restored in Corsairs* + i got to show another corsair why i leveled elemental boost and didnt leave it @ lvl 1 (yay for almost 40K Flamethrower's)
I really wanna solo Zak soon, maybe when i hit 180... should take me ~ an hour and a half by my calc's, and i might try to cwkpq a little to see if i cant snag up some Gelts to speed the process a little, (yay over 10K range)
and i have a question to all of you corsairs and buccs, have you solo'd or Duo'd Zak with another bucc or corsair, and how does our time stack up ^_^? whats the best time you've seen? i want to better myself @ zakuming and seeing another Corsair in action in Zak without 4 or 5 other attackers cloggin up my view screen was nice, learned 1 thing about moving around and what arm i should have been killing first vs how i would have done it, and seemed a little faster, and does anyone have any uhhh videos of Corsairs or Bucc's soloing Zak (for the bucc i especially want to see one in GMS since i understand that they have a different skill "cool down" in other versions) and i would like to aproximate speed on dis stufffs

He's really more surprised at and proud of his class than himself. That's an unfair summary.

By the way fiftyschmooo, I attempted to solo Zak at 152 on this Corsair, but I DC'd right when I killed 2nd body. According to the rate at which I was going, though, it would have taken me just slightly less than 1:30. Since we're both much stronger than I was way back then, I'd say a Corsair around your power could do it in 1:10 without too many issues. I, personally, would love to try and kill him under an hour. But yes, no doubt, Corsairs are the best and fastest class for soloing Zak.

Bucc solo's aren't very fast afaik, but i remember seii only using like 2xx honsters on his solo.

Not to get into a class debate, but did you consider heroes/drks able to hit more than 1 arm? Not sure how much of an edge it would give them.

Usually warriors are faster soloers because of that reason, but they suck at the main body. Corsairs are still way faster at the arms than other ranged classes, and unparalleled at bodies.

Not just theoretic either, every corsair solo i've seen was as fast/faster than a warrior solo.

Usually warriors are faster soloers because of that reason, but they suck at the main body. Corsairs are still way faster at the arms than other ranged classes, and unparalleled at bodies.

Not just theoretic either, every corsair solo i've seen was as fast/faster than a warrior solo.

Also, warriors need to jump-attack to hit the top-right arm. lol

Corsairs also use less pots than any other class there. Pretty much just MP pots.

I'm sorry that you can't type two sentences without putting some sort of emote somewhere, and that every one of your sentences runs on like this...because you're incapable of using the period key for anything except ellipses...and that everything you type has to uhhh feel like it's being recorded and ~ transcribed directly because you can't be bothered to make a distinction between the way you speak and the way you type. Your sentences are completely incoherent and so full of random tangents that it's impossible to determine whether you were trying to make a point or if you were just rambling.

Schmoo corsairs will always be strongest simply because they can use that lock-on skill, w/e it's called, to always hit zakum and nothing else. I was gonna try zakking with a corsair sometime, but I still need a new computer to really be able to zak/HT/pb(if that's ever gonna happen). My dps shud be quite good, though. I think together with a good corsair we could do it in ~35mins?

im really sorry you feel that my run on sentences = nothing because of the comma splices, perma ellipses, interjection of random textual emotes >.> and all this, the fact is i do the majority of posting @ work on my break when i only have a few mins to convey my thoughts, if you cant grasp the concepts i try to put forth then dont read my posts, ive gotten numerous whisps ingame with people asking me questions about corsairs, pirates and many other things maple based because they know that i have knowledge on these topics, and from what ive seen ive helpped a lot of people, im in a unique situation due to me being such a high level, ive prety much seen it all in regards to my class... sure i may not be all ZOMG THE ATK SPEED OF X SKILL IS EXACTALLY 1.32384638473 CASTS PER second ... but i do know a lot and havent helpped a lot of ppl

There are prior posts implicating pirates are the end all be all class. Even your prior post implies it last sentence. That isn't pride, it's ignorance and ego.

A lot of my friends are saying Aran will be top DPS but I haven't researched enough to get into a debate with them. If anyone has any knowledge, they can comment.

Possibly with SE, since they receive a ridiculously large damage boost from it. Aran without SE is pretty weak in terms of 1v1, though - seems to hit around what Buccs and Shadowers are capable of.
