What would be the best normal monster to hunt on 2x drop?

Basically I am looking for one that can cover the card's cost (1.5 NX) while also earning a little profit if possible.

Speaking for myself, as a 14x bishop with level 15 Gen, I can make a much better profit at Harps or Wolf Spiders than at ToT. But most weapon classes my level make a better profit at various of the Oblivion maps.

Leprechauns is a safe bet for quick cash for anyone 40+, but if you're high leveled, chances are you can do much better.

I know all the good spots to make mesos, but I want to make NX here.

What I am looking for are monsters that drop scrolls that sell for a lot in the MTS. Like Glove for Att from Golems.

Well, I am a very risk averse person, so I wouldn't ever risk my NX on a scroll drop, because the rate is so low. If I wanted NX, I'd go somewhere with good mesos, then go buy the scrolls in the FM, then sell them in the MTS.

But if you're set on getting scrolls directly, best bet would probably be to get the card late at night in the US time zones and go area boss hunting.

EDIT: If you want a normal normal monster... I'm not sure. As I said, I don't count on scrolls dropping, because the only scroll drops worth over 5m I've got in the entire time I've played Maple were 2 Overall DEX 60%s I got from area bosses.

I took my chances at drum bunnies, 4 hour 2x drop card +1 hour of 4x drop combined with family didnt net me a chaos scroll, but i think its worth the chance.

+I got like 40 dc ores, 100 steel ores and alot of shoe stims.
oh and 2 red whips.

Drumming bunnies are epic.
Plus you can use the etcs to sell for that one quest, or for maker. <3

It's probably my extremely bad luck, but I spent 50 hours at the drumming bunny dungeon (was there for agent quest), using 2x drop multiple times, and did not get any chaos scroll. I got a couple of 60% Gun ATT scrolls, about 10 red whips, and a bunch of DC and steel ores though. So its up to you if you want to chance it there haha

Like Morgana said, don't go hunting for specific high mts valued items, but rather a consistent flow of income. Time Temple is where i'd go as you're much more likely to get a piece of time (alot more than just 1 at that) which is more meso value than a glove attack scroll which you're likely to never find from a mob. Sell the piece of time, then buy your higher valued mts items. Area bosses are good too but inconsistent. Also hunt the mobs in TT that have good rarer drops just in case u get lucky. helm dex 60% and the like....

I hunt at Time Temple as well. During last week's 2x exp I bought a 2x exp and 2x drop card and hunted at TT for 4 hours. Found 10 pieces (which is actually below average), which is easily worth 10-11k NX. The cards only cost me 3.5k NX total.
