Invisible Boat

So... as you can see, I am sitting in nothingness. My Battleship icon is in the top right and (since I'm the only Corsair there) you can see some explosions from Cannons I just shot.

This happened right after I got resurrected. I believe I was on my boat when I died. While on this *invisible* boat, I was able to shoot Cannon and Recoil. I still had 80% speed, but I was able to use any skill. I didn't test if I was able to climb ropes. I asked if anyone else could see my boat, and they could not. When I finally pressed the boat button, the boat appeared as though I was not on it when I pressed the button. After that, it acted normally.

I hear Dark Knights have a similar glitch? Something about how sometimes when they die and get resurrected, their Berserk works in reverse. How exactly are these types of things triggered? I've never had this happen before.

You should test to see if damage affects the boat.

Probably won't, which is awesome.

Wasn't there an invisible mount glitch too? Probably the same thing.

It's probably like a "isMounted" trigger that flips from 1 to 0 and vice versa every time you press the button and when you get Res'd, it cancels the buff but fails to register that you are no longer on your ship.

Yeah, this happens whenever you mount any mount in the same map you were resurrected in. Curious how battleship works though O_o

I wonder if wheels of fortune will have this glitch.

I wouldn't mind dying in Zerk on purpose to have it stay there until I dip below 50% hp again...and I think nothing would do that to me until stage 5 or so. Shine Good idea.

I wouldn't be surprised if hardcore grinders would do this so that they could have a supership for bossing or maybe even training. Still though, I doubt it, since I'm pretty sure wheels make you reenter the map, similar to reviving in a town; you don't stay in the same place with the same buffs.

It doesn't exactly work in reverse... when you're revived it doesn't cancel the Berserk buff, but does restore your HP. Until you cross the Berserk threshold again, it won't cancel the buff.

I guess Resurrect's "no buffs cancelled" is a bit too broad.

Ssshush. This could actually be useful for DrK's that can't quite get the hang of Zerk for bossing yet.

Unless you're fighting a boss that 1/1s, which is pretty much all of them.

Mmmm...I suppose. Although if I'm at max HP I can take a hug from Zak's third body and should still be above 50% HP. Tongue1 So it'd be useful for me.

Ya, they make you reenter the map and you lose all your buffs. I was a sad panda after using my first wheel of fortune because if this (I thought I could keep my 2x).

I remember this happening to my corsair, and it was in CWKPQ. It was a while ago, but I think I got healed while on my battleship during zombify, and died. Once I got resurrected the same thing happened to me, and I tried to mount onto my ship and it just showed the animation and the boat didn't appear. :f6:
