People may have killed it already; it's not a regular-spawning monster, as far as I'm aware. I believe it's a bot-catcher.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm getting the idea that Various Map is supposed to refer to multiple maps. Like the Ice Witch (or whatever she's called) in El Nath. THAT bot catcher seems kind of useless to me, but whatever... o-o

This Oberon monster would make sense as a bot considering MP3 and some of the cleric-friendly maps inside the ship itself.

why just cause its cleric friendly does it need a bot catcher? are you omehow biased against clerics? so if its warrior friendly then remove the bot catchers but if its one of the few places heal works (which never gets left to just clerics, everyone else has to come too) you deem that needing a bot catcher? hey everyone, himes are heal weak, lets get us a bot catcher!

I don't know if you can still spam heal without moving, [might have been patched, but I don't have a cleric to check], but yeah, its a problem since you could put a weight on your heal button [assumedly other wide range attacks too, though only mages have the mp recovery to make it realisticly useful] to stand in one of singapores MANY safe spots, then come back a bit later to pot or move to another when the spawns all crowded at the other side.
If you aren't botting, its not a problem, if you are, you're getting what you deserve.

Oh wait, I just defined how mages were [at least used to] abuse singapore maps by botting. Now, can anyone explain to me why you'd put a bot catcher there?

Clerics are likely the botters. >_> They just have to stand on the stairs, make the mobs move their way, and spam heal. It hits both top and bottom...there's no cleric bias.

One thing I was curious about is how a bot catcher is warrior-friendly. Or should I ask, what moves can a warrior spam? If you've actually played a crusader, you'll know that Shout doesn't do you crap, and there's virtually nothing TO spam, unlike heal. Think logically (not going to copy/paste last two posts, so read those) next time and figure out why a bot might be smart for these kind of maps. And also, if you can explain how I can go AFK and still be killing safely, let me know. Warriors take more than one button to fully operate. Since I'm not interested in making a list, let's just put down 5+ buttons for now.

Its a spawning bot-catcher mob, only 1 mob in 1 map. I found 1 at Faust map. You need to hit the evil looking treasure chest in the same map to weaken it, after which , you can kill it.

I have not tried to hit it without hitting the treasure chest first, assuming it will teleport you back to town.

Deep Ellinia? Really? Unless Oberon is supposed to represent dark areas, it seems like it'd fit the Singapore mob bunch better...

The only reason oberon seems like it would fit in with singapore is because...

1) It looks like a ghost ffs.
2) It's SEA exclusive as far as i can see, so you'd kind of assume it'd be in SEA exclusive areas...deep ellinia is pretty random and pretty retarded.

Oberon is the king of the fairies. Of COURSE it's in Ellinia. ;D

But... Slip's extraction says a monster was added in Singapore.
