DMG of warriors
#1
So I am trying to make a full strength warrior, but a friend told me that then i would have horrible accuracy. Does that mean I need equips with accuracy?

or what would be the best scrolled equips for warriors?

STR for damage, dex to be able to hit, very fundamental a-@ DEX equips will give you ACC, as well as some ACC scrolling (shoes, helm).

to give you some quick pointers. At level 20 get a Bathrobe, which will be clean 10speed 10 slots from showa, 100% it for dex. I'm not sure of your situation, but try and get a helm with alittle dex.

dex gloves are cheaper then attack ones, and can last you untill your able to afford one. Also something to remember is, ACC > DEX. Dex matters vary little, it just helps you hit. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it effects ACC by 0.7 or 0.8

I agree here. Sadly I was Dexless (4 Dex) around 60, but couldn't afford it and bumped my dex to 55. With the new maker skill, accuracy is a bit easier to get and it's more affordable (Garnets add Accuracy to your equips). Scrolls for shoe dex are incredibly cheap (450k-1m). I could efficiently train unfunded using a STR/ATTK Cape and without a Zakum Helm at 84.

Anyways, I'd go very low dex unless you're very funded and can afford to be dexless. As for equips you will be using a Bathrobe until 35 and then switch to a blue chainmail until 80, unless you go with a Str Top/Dex Bottom. You could using a Dex WG and use a KoC's ATTK advantage until you can afford to switch to an attack WG. Use a Brown Bandana/Green Bamboo until you can afford a Zakum Helm. At 70, I'd use maker to create shoes since lv70 shoes already come with Accuracy (+ Garnet = 4+ Accuracy + being scrolled has a potential of 7-9 accuracy). Don't forget maple items also add Accuracy, accuracy doesn't become much of a problem until 8-9x.

Monster avoid jumps at lvl 90. I don't know why, but it does. Just a word of warning.

At which point, having 132 accuracy or so is enough to get by in most cases, especially with Bless (+20), any acc added by Blessing of the Fairy (KoC buff), and anything from Maple Warrior (won't be much unless you have at least 10 DEX).

Warrior need STR. STR = DMG. DMG = Good.
Raise your DEX only if you can't hit something that is near your level, a good way to keep track of that is to keep your DEX twice your level until it gets to between 40-80 and then keep it there and just get equips that give you DEX and accuracy.

I dunno about that. Back in my old days, I had 100 base DEX. I thought I would be good for myself in spite of not having accuracy equips. But now, I have too much accuracy after getting all the goodies such as MoN and Makered stuff xD

Point being, it's getting easier to be lower base DEX. 40 isn't too bad.

You are talking to the guy who had 107 base DEX to start, and has now reduced it to 75, and I still have 200+ accuracy, EVEN WITH A CLEAN ZHELM! Glitter DEXADIN FTW!

Anyone starting a warrior nowadays should be able to stay dexless given the many many sources of accuracy presently available.

Those sources are also cheaper than before as well. Note that Temple of Time mobs in the later maps have fairly high avoid (I think 47 is the highest) you will need around 180 or so ACC to hit them 100% once you're at their level.

[Full disclosure, my hero is dexless with 143 base ACC, ie no buffs/pills]

I intended on making a dexless warrior guide but I'm too lazy so I'll list some of the sources of accuracy for you.

your accuracy is determined by
total DEX *.8 + total LUK +.5 + total ACC stats from passive sources and gear.

passive sources:

Having a KoC char adds 1-12 ACC (1 for every 10 levels)
mastery maxed adds 20 ACC
base 4 dex adds 4 x 0.8 = 3.2 ACC
base 4 luk adds 4 x 0.5 = 2 ACC

popular gear sources are too many to list. besides kaj has them covered in his pally guide here :http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3602

Op top of that, there is the maker skill which will let you add up to 3 crystals that can add ACC in some form to high level gear or 2 crystals on the lower end gear.

1 advanced garnet +5 ACC
1 advanced dex crystal +5 DEX (4 acc)
1 advanced luk crystal +5 luk (2 acc)

even with 2 crystal on the lower gear you could still add 9 ACC to each. If the item already has ACC on it and you use a stim to ensure above average stats you could end up with even more ACC.

Don't forget you can gamble with the dark/black crystals to get even better stats.

Then there are active sources of accuracy
Bless = 20 acc
pills = 10 acc
pills from the mu lung guy = 12 acc
amorian baskets = 40 acc

As you can see there is a plethora of choices to get ACC other than adding to your base DEX.
