Nexon Japan steals Crimsonwood Keep PQ music?
#1

From about 1:00 to 2:33 you will hear Crimsonwood Keep Party Quest music, and from 2:33 to almost the end you will hear the Crimsonwood Keep Boss Music.

Kinda funny they used it for pachinko. Also, after seeing this, I think that the creator of the Crimsonwood Keep BGMs (maybe Masteria in general) isn't KMS, but JMS. Nexon Japan undoubtedly is worse than Nexon America, but it looks like they're better at "exclusive" content (not damage-wise Tongue), concept art, and BGMs (IF they made the Neo Tokyo's BGMs - if not, then nevermind).

Nexon Korea doesn't seem really creative with BGMs. I mean, they are, and many of their BGMs are great but.. the BGMs of Crimsonwood Keep and Neo Tokyo.. they just sound like they aren't from Nexon Korea.

You could probably say: why can't they be made by their respective owners?

I'll answer: because most (if not all) the Masteria content in GMS comes from KMS (not sure about Neo Tokyo of JMS). KMS is the main distributor of content, and they undoubtedly made Crimsonwood Keep, because, not only NxProse said that Nexon America only does concept art and sends it to Nexon Korea for the real making, but, as a confirmation, korean strings were found in the CWKPQ reactors. Like, the reactor names (which aren't needed to be in english - they aren't used anywhere, anyway). Just the CWKPQ Music.. it sounds like it isn't from Nexon Korea.

My statement about BGMs not coming from their respective owners is just an assumption, though. The CWKPQ BGMs are just as good as many Neo Tokyo BGMs (and some kinda have the same "style") and they used them for their Pachinko event (which no other version did until now) so I'm assuming that both BGMs are made from Nexon Japan. I doubt NEXON America makes MapleStory BGMs.. Well, now that I think about it, they made MapleStory iTCG BGMs (another assumption), but those are another kind of BGMs anyway.

Ok. I'm done with my useless and irrelevant discussion.

Rolleyes

Anyway, its possible they share the content throughout all versions or something, with permission of course :f6:

Why is it "theft" if one version of MS is using content from another version of MS?

IIRC, a Nexon Korea developer said in an interview that Japan had better designers and better art departments than Korea, where they are better in engineering and programming, so it makes sense (kinda).

Here:

Interview Wrote:One thing that I've been kind of speculating about and I'm curious to know what you think; the big problem in Japan is that they lack programmers. They're good at design and producing but programming and optimization is their weakness. Whereas in Korea, you’re very good at systems and service but seem to kind of lack designers. Perhaps management is not structured so that designers can lead a project. That's the feeling that I have been getting. I'm curious to know what you think about that.

JYM: Your view is correct. I believe that the Korean online gaming industry was actually started by programmers, so that's why naturally we're led by programmers. 90% of the past products were led by programmers. Right now, still about 50% of the products are led by programmers. But it's changing.

The CWK boss music is far too epic and unfitting for a quest where you kill immobile pachinko machines.

The balrog one was cool and all, but the music is so unfitting.

Well, lets just put this out: It isn't stealing. If you think about how many BGMs are re-used in the games, even exclusive area BGMs will eventually be recycled. But I think they used that because that obviously is a pachinko house in neo tokyo, and most Neo Tokyo BGMs have that "epic" feeling, and they used the CWK music because it fits that.

And at that little quote you brought in from a interview, here is how I see it (Comparing Nexon Korea, Japan, and America, also using some of the views mentioned there and in this thread, along with my views)

Nexon Korea: Good at Programming and Management, weak(er) spot with Design
Nexon Japan: Good at Design and Management, weak(er) with Programming
Nexon America: Good with design, weak(er) with Management (I'm not sure about programming for Nexon America, as we don't really know who the hell is actually coding this stuff)

Extract it from the sound.wz,the only part that reminds CWK music is from 1:50 to 2:33.
43 seconds compared to 1:50,yes,it IS a remix.
The part that you hear in the video is the last part of the music,if you see the original one, you'll see.

Im confused still, what specific part in the video is different from the normal song, from what I can tell its the same music just starting at a different point than usual. The pachinko Grandmasters Gauntlet theme sounds the same as well.

Who cares about the music, there’s a fricken rog in a pachinko machine.

^ This. In addition to that, simple things like sound effects are reused throughout games too. Listen to how a Pure Water or Potion is consumed, why, it is exactly like how potions are consumed in Diablo. Or the sound effect of Ice Beam going off, it is the sound of selecting something in StarCraft, that's stealing too, so what, is Blizzard going to make a federal case out of this now? Just simple recycling of stuff, so... no big harm done as opposed to things such as private servers, heh.

Really,who cares about that?
Then, start flaming Singapore musics, the only difference from the town one to the field one is the speed.
Sincerely, every game remix musics and sounds from itself.
And,i can say,if it was GMS that remixed any music from another MS version, you guys wouldn't say that.
And,how can Nexon steal something that itself has made to the game,Nexon Korea makes every design about the game.

Wow some people are very hostile, if you read his actual post it was more a comment about lack of creativity on their part for this.
