Lag since .75 Patch?

Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:

Has anyone else been lagging extremely badly since the .75 patch? I've never lagged before, but now, I'm lagging like crazy. I was training at MP3 with my Blaze Wizard and the lag was driving me insane

**OOPS, I just read that general lag shouldn't have been put in this section -_- Sorry Fiel =( However is this considered general lag? I personally think its out of the ordinary**

Well, I'm in Mardia too, and this has also been happening with me and my guildies in most of the channels.
Channels 9 & 10 seem to be normal though.

Seems to be happening everywhere (Even though I'm in Mardia too. Mardia FTW?)

Lag isn't exactly a glitch or a bug you know... More often than not it has either something to do with your own stuff, net, computer etc, or a temporary thing that occurs for some after patching, call it a connectivity issue. At any rate, imo, it's not something to report here, I'd point you to tech support if it was my call.

Tech Support is for individual issues.
As you can see, a lot of people have been having issues since the patch.
Plus, it isn't really a "resolvable" issue. It can't be supported by Technical /Support/.

Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn't exactly sure where to post this =\ All I really wanted was feedback from other members to see if it was a widespread problem or if it was just me. I'm not exactly looking for a resolution.

I spoke to a bunch of random people in Mardia and many of them have said that they've been having the same problem

I've been having it really badly too. It makes all my previous lag experiences seem minuscule.

I've been having it in Khaini, mostly server communication, like pot lag and such, its very annoying, the back half of the channels seem to be a bit better, but not much.

The lag even manages to make ME fear training on the lowest settings, and I never turn my settings down.

Its server lag, turning down your settings only affects lag that your computer causes, so that would do nothing in this case.

So far I've had random quits twice (MS just closes down, no error, no ads). Dunno what causes it. Plus the normal lag.

This is definitely a game issue, not a personal one. Everyone I've talked to about it has reported awful lag and disconnects at prime hours since the patch. IMO it has something to do with the extended server maintenance and not the actual patch though.

on topic, i haven't really noticed any lag. just the usual scanian lag during 2x events.

I was training, if someone's using dc hacks to get Cold Eye channels that's pretty lame.

I believe Nexon did some major 'upgrade' to their hardware components during the lolmaintenance.

Our scheduled weekly maintenance lasted much longer than we had originally anticipated, and we sincerely apologize to our players for the delay. For the last several weeks, we've been planning upgrades for many aspects of our service, with the goal of improving the performance of our games and website. The first step of implementing those upgrades began with today's maintenance, which focused on hardware upgrades. In addition, we were adding major content updates for both MapleStory and Combat Arms.



Unfortunately, while these upgrades were being performed, an unexpected network outage occurred that added several hours to the total maintenance time. Though the network outage was an unexpected event we couldn't have anticipated, we wanted to extend our apologies to our players, and explain what resulted in this outage.

I was training, if someone's using dc hacks to get Cold Eye channels that's pretty lame.

For me, severe lag started with the previous patch (0.74), mostly around morning times in the US (unless my time conversion is bad).

The odd thing about it, out of 8 chars I tested it (3 adv and 1 cygnus on two accounts) the lag never happens on one of the cygnus, and almost never on one of the adv...
The only thing those have in common is that they're both guildless, so for a time, I took the other cygnus out of the guild and it seems like the lag is gone as well, but in the last few days the lag went back to that char as well.

Anyone else experiencing something similar? I'm trying to figure out what else might be different between the chars that cause the lag.

I've been lagging recently too.

Also, sometimes when I change channels my screen turns black and I have to restart maple (the black screen never loads). This has only started happening since the patch.

MP3 = Mysterious Path 3. It's in Singapore to the far right (same map as the boat entrance). The monsters there have a good exp to HP ratio, but majority of the time all the channels are taken and a lot of people come to try and steal your channel and KS you.
