Offensive words removed from textbooks.
#1
So I know this is fairly old news, about 2 weeks but it hasn't really blossomed in the SP community. So I present to people who haven't seen it yet:

http://www.thefoxnation.com/culture/2009...-textbooks

Now I know fox is very..biased but they are deeming these words offensive and removing them. I can't watch the video as my work computer is to inferior but, I recall Jungle was removed and replaced with RainForest, and Adam and eve were changed to Adam and St--..Sorry Eve and adam* because feminists thought "Adam" being first makes men "Superior".

Jesus Christ, this is about as bad as my old art teacher cutting the 'rude pictures' out of the art books.

Only in America...

Even a biased opinion constitutes as an opinion :x, however this is a legislative blunder, which has no opinion of whether it will be passed or not, it has passed :x.

Don't dwell on the obvious Rolleyes

The moment I saw FOX, I stopped caring. You don't listen to FOX for anything serious.

Tongue Ya know if you actually read rather than jumping to conclusions it's a laugh in itself.

Hell even "senior Citizen" is deemed innapropriate, lol

I stopped caring seriously.

Since it was the Rubik's Cube I was going to be all up and arms (RAGING) about schools seriously considering to remove "bad words" from textbooks. Once the URL, I immediately changed my mentality to LOLFOX.

It's being done though. It's like laughing the fact the village idiot is the messenger telling everyone that a building is on fire. I mean I understand fox has a very biased viewpoint but it's happening whether fox agrees with it or not :f6:

win.
just, pure and most awesome of wins.

theres a limit to what censorship can and cannot do, and impeding on the growth and education of the children i personally find wrong (as i side with a once great man, George Carlin, in that children should be taught to question authorities, not allow them to trample on them), but since i have no clout on this matter (dam liberal/conservative government.), i just have to sit back and allow it to happen. its not like one angry parent can change the mind of an angry community (no, im not a father, but i have a sister 12 years younger than me) of uptight mothers and ego-driven fathers (USELESS PIGS THAT BEAT THEIR WIVES, DAMN DRUNKS) who think their little "angel" is too "pure and innocent" to hear stuff that might "hurt their feelings."
