Having major problems with my Windbreaker...plz help :(

Hello all, I'm playing Maplestory Europe for a while now, and made a Windbreaker some time ago which is now level 34 and started doing the CPQs at lvl 30.

But my Windbreaker is doing such terrible damage (sometimes around 300-400 but most of the time below 100) so I cant kill any monsters efficiently and I keep dying. I've had this problem already much before reaching level 30 though. It takes ages for me to kill these monsters, so whenever I do CPQ, I always collect the least CP, usually around 10-20.

I hardly get accepted to CPQ parties, and even if I do, I usually get kicked out after the first round cuz people find my archer is too much of a fail.

Are wind archers perhaps really the weakest koc?? All other classes around my level do far more damage than I do :S (consistently 500-600+ from what I've seen).

For my skill build: My Critical Shot, Double Shot, Eye, Focus are all maxed at the moment, and got 4 Mastery and 9 Storm Break at Level 34 right now. I dont think my skill build so far is in any way bad.

As for equips I have all lvl 30 equips (except the bow, I got a lvl 25 Hunter's bow still, but will get the Viper at lvl 35): Hawkeye Hat (Dex +1), a level 30 Green Marker Glove (Dex +1), Huntress Top and Bottom armor (Dex +3 total), sneakers (which is lvl 31).

As for my stats I got 76-281 in Attack. Got Dex of total 181 (I did Auto-assign), with Accuracy 118.

i dunno wut to do with my Windbreaker.

The problem is you're using clean normal equips and you're the bare minimum level for that PQ, meaning your already low damage is getting cut by a sizable chunk due to damage penalties. Level up more before trying that. You probably also created this character using a level 20 adventurer, didn't you? The lack of attack from having a high level adventurer is also hurting your damage substantially.

If you can, try to get a Sauna Robe and scroll it with 100% overall dex, and possibly the Red Viper with 100% bow att if you need to. Most of the people you're comparing your damage to probably have high level adventurers that are giving them enormous amounts of attack through Blessing.

To be brief, you're not weak, that is normal. I suggest you go grind a few levels, or trade wins(I assume they do that in Europe?). It doesn't matter how weak you are for trade wins. Anyway, once that is done, and you have max mastery, the low numbers should disappear.

MapleEurope has the new cygnus creation method, so it could be level 0.

yea, in Maple Europe you can make a brand new account and choose between adventurer or cygnus knight from the very beginning. You dont need to have a level 20 character before. Though we still do have the Blessing.

I have an adventuerer at level 32 right now, and a Windbreaker at lvl 34, so I got 3 Bless on my Wind.

But does Bless really bring a significant change? Leveling up my main above 100 and then leveling up my koc again will take wayy too much time

Btw that Sauna robe and Viper with those 100% scrolls that was mentioned...do they really make much of a difference?? I mean, its only like 1-2 DEX extra isnt it? Plus, wouldnt my DEF be lower if I get a Sauna Robe (which is an Overall) instead of wearing both top and bottom?

Does it make a diffrence with blessing or not? If u have a lvl 100 adventurer on the account you basically get something equal to a 10 att, 20 m att, 10 acc, 10 avoid glove xP. Of course that makes a diffrence, but it won't make you powerfull unless the rest of your gear is decent.
With the new method of creation though, it totally kills the Cygnus usefullness for anything other than being fancy PQ mules. Might as well make the Maple easy mode class bishop and just gen your way way past the Cygnus level cap, with less effort. When you get 4th job that is.

I always thought that CPQ monsters were the same level as their "real" counterparts. The reason I though that was due to my hit rate on Toy Trojans going up as I level on my Dawn Warrior.

100% scrolling a sauna adds 10 dex, that's almost 2 levels worth so yeah, it is a big deal. doing that to the viper would be 7 more attack.

With those 100% scrolls....do you mean those you can buy from the NPCs that stand around in various places?

But how does scrolling a sauna robe with a 100% scroll add that much?? Those scrolls always say +1 for any stat, how can it add 10 DEX? I'm a bit confused :f6:

Your number one top priority above any other craps: STOP USING AUTO ASSIGN.


You probably already have too much str by using auto assign. Try to get an above average maple bow, or a red viper, scroll it with 100% scrolls(7scrolls cost 490k, and gives you easy 7 more attack, which is more than 20dex at your level). And stop adding any points to str. Then get a soul searcher at level 43, again don't add any str. Switch to the level 64 maple bow when you reach level 64.


Get a sanua robe and scroll it with overall dex 100%, 10 scrolls cost 350k only, and gives you 10 easy dex.


Try to get an attack work glove if possible, any attack will do. You can also use attack potions before each game, baby dragon food from leafre is a good option, as it lasts 20minz and adds 7attack.

the reason I did auto-assignt was I read from some bowman guide out there that your strength always has to be a certain amount to be able to wear armor.
So I shouldnt add to Strength at all anymore on my Windbreaker??

Your strength should be five more than your level if you don't have strength equips, IIRC.

I think I'm a bit confused. How many DEX translates into one attack for a bowman?? 1 DEX = 1ATT???

What about magic attack for mages anyone know? Is 1INT = 1Magic att??

your strength always has to be a certain amount to be able to wear armor.

no armor requires str after lvl 50. only your bow is your lvl +5. plan your equips ahead and go low str if possible.

I'm told to wear the Sauna Robe right now and scroll it ten times with 100% DEX scrolls to make me stronger, but that means I cant wear my Huntress' Top and Bottom Armor meaning that I will have very low Defence.

Does having higher DEX (and therefore attack) more important than physical defence?

Where can I find more detailed information on which class shud wear which armor at what lvls with wut scrolls etc???
