finally level 80
#1
Sooo i finally hit 80 on my outlaw in KMS. And if you dont know, 7x in kms is HELL. 10%/h wherever you go... So im back to about 20-25% at 80 sniping newties. But I have a few questions... are outlaws going to be sniping newties till 4th job, cause it gets kind of repetitive and boring? are there any other training spots that are comparable to newtie, i say spots cause i know squids is decent, anywhere else (kms has no himes)? does the %/h increase at some point because I deal more damage to newties? How have all of you LEGIT (no leech) captains spend your time during 3rd job? Also I saw the gobies training video and build, is that actually effective and comparable exp to newties?

KMS doesn't have crimsonwood, right? KMS has NLC, right? <<If both of these are correct, then I would say go to wolf spiders and test that out. Unless you really don't have the money to fund getting attacked a lot.

we have none, and i have money and im funded. any other suggestions Frown Cause i really cant see myself snipin newties for another 40 levels... Also isnt hp washing REQUIRED to nest golem/time temple at 121+? And im not hpwashing or blood leveling... so ill be stuck there at early captain as well? idk, not too sure about that part but yeah.

congrats on 80!

we'll, i'm not 4th job or anything, but i'm past 8x o.o (by 2 levels)

at 8x, i was at CWK, because newties were really boring Frown
i tried the memory monks in time temple, and i got roughly 2% more an hour there. you can actually train there with blank, but i find the place rather mobby, and i was happy i could freeze five targets. (but there are sometimes 7+ monks on one platform).
the problem with monks was that they're a major pot burn, and i dont know if kms has good pots, such as barbarian elixirs here.
you can always try MPQ, it was fine exp, but i find it repetitive aswell. you can try squids aswell, but they're not so great. i heard you can also train on kents at 3rd job if you get ice, didn't try.
sadly, i quit my outlaw for now, as i'm making a soul master. when i'll be back on my outlaw he'll have better equips (no more 60%d guns <\3), so i'll be able to get more %\hour at most places.
if newties are boring, dont go octo 1st, it limits you ALOT.

I think i have some alternatives:

First off, CWK is awesome, epic win, the best thing Nexon America ever made.

Not having it sucks Tongue

But as for training spots:

-Memory Lane 1 and 2

i'd recommend 1, but the xp isn't as great as Newties

-Squids

I found them terrible, maybe good xp?

Other then that, all alternatives are at CWK keep, just hang on.

And HP washing is not required at all, i have 25 HP earrings/50 HP hat [100'd my zhelm] and i will be able to survive a nest golem atk next lv =D. That's lv 97. Which is 8 lv's before i am suppose to train there.

But, yes, you will be stuck at newties until high 12x, at which you can move onto skeleies or Oblivion Monks [Oblivion monks seem to have just as good, if not better HP : Xp ratio, atk seems to be the same, can't tell you much more since i can't access the maps]

If you ever get REALLY bored at newties [though i doubt parties will be as boring as sniping], you can always just trek along Time Temple, going from Memory lane 1 -> Memory Lane 2 -> Memory Lane 3 and so forth.

Newties is best xp though.

From what I've seen:
Vikings
Squids
Kents
Himes
Cornians
Gobies.
That's all I can think of. I've seen that the Himes map in KMS just has Kappas, I don't really know much about that, or KMS in general. Heck, I don't know much about outlaws. You could probably Newtie until you have decent Ice Splitter, then start with Red Kents (spamming IS on mobs), Monks, or Vikings (freezing then attacking). A lot of it depends on your build, I guess.

spamming IS is bad. It has a delay about the same length as it

I allways though kms is like the super duper advanced version? :f6:

Stick an IS in your IS so you can IS while you're ISing. Good plan.

Unfortunately, KMS removed all the World Tour Areas, making it a challenge to get to higher levels.

Memory Lane 1/2 is as good as our CWK areas, give it a shot.

I know this particular advantage isn't available for most people, but I trained with a Marksman friend (he was the same level as me at the time) at Squids from 75 to 90. We did have HS and SE mules though. I can't remember the exact % per hour, but I do remember pulling off something like 10 levels in 4 days of 2x (4 hours a day). Ah, good times.

Anyway, if you're forced to solo, Newties are guaranteed to be the fastest exp for you. Sorry, thems the breaks. By the way, if you have a second computer, it helps a ton if you park any other character in the map. It doesn't have to be in your party, but the existence of another character in the map makes the reaction time of newly-spawned Newties much slower. It'll save you tons of pots in the long run.
