I think you're looking at the extremist side of things that one thing causes another before that other thing even happens. Harry Potter makes you love Satan. No, not really. They don't ask Satanists why they love Satan and they say "Harry Potter!". This is more of a thinking backwards idea...what things seem reoccurring in suicides. Many of the child and teen suicides were involving those that were of the "emo" lifestyle. They aren't saying being emo makes you kill yourself. They're just saying that emo people tend to be more likely to, and therefor are trying to stop it. Honestly, as off-beat as it sounds, I can't blame them.

Right so being emo INFLUENCES suicide is their argument.

Whoever wrote this doesn't understand that the "great Russian soul" is itself fundamentally emo. I am a Russian, (though living in America,) and I can assure you that the vast majority of my countrymen express themselves in emotional extremes and hysterics. Russians tend to extremes. (Communism anyone?) That is part of what makes Russian writers so effective -- emotional power is very valuable in writing, and they have it in their blood.

If you ever saw a bunch of Russians at a dinner table, you would be convinced that they were about to draw guns and shoot each other. But if you understood what they were saying, you'd see that that's merely the way they talk. In other words, the typical Russian conversation at a dinner table is held at the screaming level.

Why dont they just ban razor blades >_>. SUPER EASY SOLUTION


BTW, in our teen society, not many of us desire to be emo, so whats point is to the law?

The emo mainstream needs to be destroyed. I give credit to Russia trying to do that but they're off a bad start. Forbidding something as big as this is only going to make it a much stronger and bigger problem. Think of the whole law against alcohol in the US in the past.

The emo mainstream -only- promotes bad feelings, self harm and negative thoughts. If you disagree, go live with an emo and experience it yourself. My brother was horribly 'infected' by the mainstream and it's been hell trying to get him out of that. He's unreasonable, selfish and only thinking about how people don't care; they just pretend they do. They don't onyl cause themselves self-harm physical with the typical razor crap, they also harm themselves psycologicly because they make things that aren't true, real in their own mind. It sucks.
