OH I found out what happened to the 2nd card al, it was on the same side and I kinda looted em both...

Nope. 281 = level 8

So...I'm guessing you need 999 cards to get level 8.

For level 8 you need 281 DIFFERENT cards. I imagine that as books grow they'll end up adding a level 9 but we'll need like 371 available cards, so...

And I'm not sure which quest you're referring to. The medal quest?

hmm, what time did you get your level 8 book sarah? Cause Binky42 might have gotten his 281st card before you (though your book is much much more complete). He said he was going for first level 8 book, but didn't know at the time how close you were, just that you had nearly enough the night before.

I got it around 3:00 PST but it doesn't matter because neither of us were first. If you go back about 5 pages you'll see the first one posted here. I'm sure there are several others out there too.
