Im sure none of you cared enough to realize I was gone for a month. I went on vacation to another country .

Main Topic:

Swine Flu is starting to look like a game of Pandemic.
But in reality, i think people are taking it to seriously. I mean, having explosive diarrhea and a blistering migraine sucks, but, you have a more likely chance of getting the normal flu and dying from it.

Side Note:
When I was coming from Atlanta Airport I saw alot of people wearing masks. SWINE FLU

I thought they had a vaccine already?

Swine Flu= Not serious in my opinion, since the normal flu kills more people (38,000) annually then there are cases of swine flu (30,000).

Well, H1N1 was declared by WHO to be a pandemic, so that status alone would be alarming. However, as mentioned, it really is not that much more dangerous at all.

I'm weary of how grave of a situation it will be, seeing as how plain old influenza has a higher infection/death ratio.

LOTS of people are infected in others country, like vietnam. lots of schools were closed b/c of it

I don't know- Its probably all media hype- BUT if the rate of deaths per infected are higher than the normal flu I could see a bit of the ruckus.

I haven't heard about it for quite some time now, doesn't seem that dangerous at all though. I'm guessing WHO or organizations have fears about it transforming again into something that can be dangerous so they're trying to prevent it before it spreads.

Never been in personal touch with it but one of my coworkers had it for a week, and the Netherlands just got their first death to the disease.

i live in Melbourne we have been called swine flu capital of the world by the media. its at the point where if you go to the doctors complaining of flu like symptoms they just give you the tamiflu and your on your way.

though i remember reading something about a vaccine getting made thats on human trails atm.
