Question regarding Stimulators for Maker
#1
i hear that all they do in "assure" that your equipment is above average but it does not increase the potential of how above average it can be (potential for a weapon is -5/+5 i think) is this true or does it do something different entirly?

Example.. Weapon X has an average attack of 90 so with maker it can have anything between 85-95 attack when someone does not use a stimulator.. With a stimulator does weapon X now only have a chance of being 91-95 or can it be more or is it something different?

They just add 0-5.

To be 100% correct, it's really +0~+X where X is dependent on that formula that says something like

The stat is 1~10, so it can only fluctuate by 1, 11~20 by 2, etc...

Idk the formula exactly but it's on this forum somewhere.

Well, I can only tell you a little bit from the weapon making I've done with Maker. Of the two weapons I made, I used an Intermediate Diamond(+2 atk) and a Stimulator on each. One came out +4 above average, the other +5 above average.

It could be that Maker can add or subtract +atk to the weapon even if you don't add anything to "strengthen" it. But Maker isn't like monster drops. If a Blue Marine dropped, it could be anything, but most of the time it is either average or 1 below average. Maker seems to stay constant with the average attack, but I have no proof.

More than likely though, if you add an Advanced Diamond and a Stimulator, the very least you can expect is +3. Since if the weapon is 1 or 2 below average, the stimulator and diamond together would at least represent +5 atk as to make it +3 anyways. So the luck of the draw is ALWAYS with you Wink

So hypothetically speaking a stimulator used while using maker can't give a ...let's say.... chance of +10 attack on a weapon?

If you used a stimulator, a high grade diamond, and a high grade BC, you could potentially get a weapon that is 11 att above average. Although, you could do it without the stimulator, too. The only function the stimulator provides is the ability to keep items from going below average.

[0; X]
X = 1 + floor(stat/10), caps at 5.

EDIT: And the rumor that Stimulator can 'harness' the 'growth' of X seems somewhat true to me, needs further testing.
