Maker Disassembly

So I've got a bunch of subpar LV50 and 60 equips lying around. Is it "worth" disassembling these suckers through Maker or should I just NPC them?

If you need the Basic Monster Crystals to make other equipment or sell, yes. Fast way to get crystals.

Otherwise, NPC.

I got 7 Intermediate Monster Crystal 3s (lvl 91-100) from disassembling a Blue Katte (lvl 100). I wasn't pleased with the results since I needed Advanced Monster Crystals.

You got interm 3 because a blue katte is lvl 100, thus falling in the level range of the interm 3 (91~100).

That's the correct outcome though, you get the level of monster crystal needed to create that item in the first place.

It's random. You have a chance to get a certain grade of crystal, and a random number depending on the level of the equip.

Sometimes you'll just get plain unlucky and won't get a single pineappleing crystal.

The amount of crystals you get from breaking down level 50 non-weapon equipment is probably so low that you won't get anything at all if it's below average.

Unless you think you need the monster crystals for forging some other level 50-60 equip, you'd probably just be better off NPCing them.

Tops and Bottoms yield 0~3 I believe. You can get 0 from them even if they aren't below average. It should get higher with your level of Maker of course, and if you have a Shop, it's more profitable to break them down, assuming you actually do gain at least one Monster Crystal.
