The Chaos Behind Alfonse Green Glitch

I've been having this glitch since forever and I am not really sure what triggered it.



When I go to Elma or Ericsson, neither of them says anything. It's like the quest is already done but it's not. I remember, before it got glitched, that I gave him/her all the items(Honey, Sweet Syrup, etc) and I think I forfeited it by mistake. I asked her/him to give me another thing(I forgot) and since then the quest has been glitched. I still have the Sweet Syrup on my inventory.

Is there anyway of "unglitching" this quest?

Can anyone help me?

Yeah, I had that same sort of glitch. I got the Syrup, went to Elma, then Elma took it and i never got it back. Then Ericsson said he could give me another since he still had some left. I tried to continue the quest again, and it stole my item again. Ericsson never gave me another quest for the Syrup so I was screwed.

So then I forfeited it. And after you forfeite the quest it will not allow you to regain it.

The quest functions correctly as long as you don't mess with it (like forfeiting, dropping its quest items). I believe this quest has always suffered from this glitch, and I don't think I've ever seen it fixed. I saw the exact same thing happen to someone a couple years ago.

Realizing how long it takes to hunt the nependeath honey and not having the time while also not wanting to keep your etc bogged down with the other items for the quest. Then dropping/forfeiting the quest only to find out the hard way you'll never be able to do it again unlike 99% of the other quests. That's what the hell we did wrong.

Mine has been glitched like this for over a year. When I submitted a ticket way back when it took two months for them to send me an automated ticket telling me I needed to read their forums known bug issues thread to resolve my problem. BUT WAIT, they conviently linked me to it. Needless to say my answer wasn't in there lol I just gave up and it's been glaring at me from the in progress tab ever since xD
