I think avatar will be better considering they are somewhat sticking to the storyline vs dragonball evolution where fox threw it against the wall imitating the "300" scene

Fox: You're going take it and like it
Dragonball evolution: ;-;

From what I've heard, the SFX are supposed to be mind-blowing. I'm interested in how this turns out, hopefully not a Dragonball.

If they use another white dude in place of an asian, i will be sad. Hollywood needs more Asian actors (even if they're little kids) that AREN'T in the martial arts section of things...

Dragon Ball evolution was indeed VERY disappointing.

F'uck would you be excited for this for. I'd rather take a sequel series than this s'hit.

No cartoon/anime live action convert has ever turned out good, and it will never turn out good. It happened with DBZ, it happened with death note, and it's going to happen to avatar now.

Meh.

-makes a mental note to find and rewatch the series sometime-

I don't care to much for the show. Well my friend said I might like it since I watch DBZ.

M. Night Shyamalan.... Do want. I'll watch it just because he's working on it xD

Technically, it is an American show with anime-esque art.

This.

It's stupid. I mean, the majority, if not the entirety, of the cast should be Asian. So far only Zuko is, and he's that Indian dude dancing Jai Ho in that Slumdog movie.

Storyline will no doubt be great. Effects will be awesome - ILM's doing it. Movie itself will probably suck, though, since only ONE of Shyamalon's movies turned out okay. Let's hope he doesn't screw up Avatar, it's one of the best cartoons/anime ever made, imo.

Well i don't think the japanese could do it better honestly, lol. You don't go from anime to live action. It never works.

I think the movie will come out good.

I, too, have heard that the effects are just... spectacular. And I think Shyamalan knows how big and popular the Avatar series is--and knows that if he pineapples this up that his career, too, will be pineappleed. He has a lot riding on this film, but I think he'll pull through.

I'm not really bothered that there isn't Asian actors playing the characters... it just seems like such a petty thing to peach over in movies. If the actor makes the character work, seem believable, and allows us to connect our own emotions to them, then I wouldn't pineappleing care even if it was a Mexican playing an Asian man's role.

That's not true! Remember, there was Transfor--... Okay, uh, wait, the first movie and its sequel were the worst pieces of pomegranate to ever hit the big screen... but wait, there was Speed Rac--... Er, hold on, that was a 2 hour ride into epileptic seizures with so much CGI that it made you sick to your stomach.. HOLD ON! What about the live-action adaptation of The Flintsto--oh pineapple me, that turned out to be a movie-long slideshow of horror, showing us that some animations should just be left as animations... Wait, I have another. What about the oh-so-beloved live-action Alvin & The Chipmun... Okay, I give up.

But surely these types of films are dying down and there won't be too many coming out, right...?

Smurfs
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Johnny Bravo
The Jetsons
Jonny Quest
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Voltron
Thunder Cats
Hong Kong Phooey
Scooby Doo
Paprika
Tom and Jerry
Alvin & The Chipmunks 2

Oh god...

Industrial Light & Magic. Star Wars. No doubt it'll be awesome.

Does he even have a career to begin with? The only one of his movies that was decent enough to watch was The Sixth Sense. And that was like 10 years ago.
