Refined Diamond Sales
#21
You think that 1.2-1.5M is bad? Hell, I'd sell for 800k if I could.

You know something is pineaplled up when you smega about selling diamonds for 250k each and only 11 sell. A certain someone crashed the market beforehand a little bit. Sad

Lmao. Thats exactly what I kept saying before the patch, the huge masses of diamonds for sale will cause an epic deflation.

Well, I already knew it was going to happen. Khaini is hit pretty hard diamond wise. People are tring to sell diamonds everywhere between 100k - 5M I've seen. Someone -coughpaulcough- deflated the market a few weeks back when people were stocking up. They went down to about 300k a pop... @_@

1 sold for 700k, nexon waited way too long with the release of maker.

I've only managed to sell 7 of my diamonds so far in windia for 800k each =[ but I'm determined not to lower it anymore.

they've been selling in bello for around 700-800k at a fair rate.

lidium ores have been my best buy so far :3 steel plates are also still super cheap, you can buy them for 500-800k... even crystals which you would think would be in more demand (dex and str isn't very common in bello fm) aren't selling...

stock will burn out eventually, the biggest issue though has been how dead fm is since the patch. everyone made cygnus chars, i only know a few people on my bl who even have the maker skill and your talking about people who know of all the new content. its going to take awhile for the overall community to learn about maker and acquire it.

it is somewhat bad timing though, you have school starting for many fairly soon and cygnus eating up alot of that last free time... i really wish nexon had released maker sooner and in a less filled patch so it would have shined a bit.

given all this though, its somewhat encouraging to see ore prices holding up in the marketplace, as more get the skill and cygnus calms down you will see people start to buy ores.

Crap, you just reminded me i have classes starting in less than 3 weeks Tongue If all else fails I could just go the grading route.

Motomage, please capitalize. Also, I think it is because everyone is too concentrated on working on their Cygnus to care about Maker. After a short period of time when everyone is sick of their Cygnus, people will start trying to make all the pineappleing awesome stuff that Maker is all about. That is when the prices will explode. Also, by then, the people who already concentrating on Maker will have (hopefully) run out of something by then. So, yeah.

Paul didn't singlehandedly ruin the market in Khaini. The server is just full of idiots who are currently obsessing over KoC. Once they're all done with their fun on those characters, which may take upwards of a month, attention will turn to Maker. I mean, seriously, I have a friend who has a Lv. 90 Dawn Warrior already (he hit 200 on his Drk in February), and hasn't bothered getting Maker yet. It's the same story with pretty much 98% of my high leveled friends - they all want to play KoC, and will touch Maker later.

FYI, I think this is the case in all servers. Just take a look at the General MapleStory sections on the two most popular GMS forums, SW and Basil. They're TEEMING with threads regarding KoC, whereas the General MS section here is pretty split. People just haven't deal with it yet or really don't even know it's there.

Fact: When young teenagers log in and see some half-naked anime goddess telling them to help her and showing them their character playing one of 5 different classes with cool looking skills, temptation and excitement build. Ask the kid if they want to go create one of those awesome characters immediately, and you've just seen the online version of "Free Candy" unmarked vans. They're too stupid to know otherwise, and once their bored being "kidnapped" by KoC, they'll go be lemming children into Maker.

But i did the Maker quest on my KoC. The thing gives pretty good exp :3
What people should have been hoarding were peices of time. They go for like 10mil each now. They were 500k they day after time temple :/

I'm pretty happy to have sold my 200 diamonds just before the patch in windia for 700k each.

I stocked up for MONTHS waiting for the Maker to go Live. I ended up selling some of them before the patch for more than they are selling now Smile

I have done better with my other crystals more than diamonds. Thankfully I stocked up 1000's of each crystal that I thought would be useful and not just diamonds.

As mentioned before, diamonds are only good for weapons. People arnt likely to make anything less than 120. Level 120 weapons require time pieces, which is rarer than diamonds atm. You also get 3 slots, which will be wasted if you dont use it. We all know 1 slot will be a diamond, the other 2 slots, well, primary stats and something else. Getting an advanced primary stat is harder than getting an advanced diamond (on average) so if anything, diamonds are just too common and too stocked up in GMS.

So the waiting thing isnt really helping... Diamonds are like 300k each in Bera now...

Is it sorth it to keep waiting?

I lol at everybody who hoarded Diamonds like a mofo only to lose out. The fact they can ONLY be used on weapons doesn't help. At least every other gem can be used on the other equipment slots.

Item Maker didn't destroy Diamond prices; overhype from idiots did.

So true... anyone who bought diamonds for more than 100k pre-patch was just shooting themself in the foot.

xdarkelement Wrote:lol this is what happens. 1 month before, all the noobs hype up the diamonds. Then the diamond have overstock. People wanna sell their diamond so they sell lower.

Seriously. You would think economics 101 would have hit everyone in the head by now. Price goes up, supply goes up. Demand will go down because of this and price will quickly go down out of fear that demand will continue to go down too rapidly. You need to sell before the peak, not after.

The only way the wait is worth is when diamond stock sinks, and that will be like... in 10 months/a year. Only a shortage will make them inflate again... Otherwise, diamand stocking failed.

It just baffles me why people would buy diamonds... The only way I could think is if you sold them right before the patch when hype was at it's highest. I'm glad I sold off most of my diamonds pre-patch for 650k each. Now everyone who has a shitload of diamonds is pretty much screwed.

People should have listened and stocked up on crystals...
