Knowing them, you'd have to buy virtual cards and each pack will contain codes. I still think it'd be cool if you could make the iTCG items with make after doing a special Masteria quest and then have to do certain quests within Masteria to get the items like Taru totems and what not.

Great idea, but if it doesn't benefit Nexon financially, it won't happen.

I think it's a fairly good idea only if there's a free aspect to it. I'm not saying that they shouldn't/can't charge for "Booster Packs" in this game that gives codes, but they should give people a way to play the game for free also.
Also, if this is pretty much turning TCG cards into an online system with the same benefits, it might get rid of the need to actually find the ITCG cards at a retailer and thus make it more widespread.
Who knows though, it could just be another cash-grab.

I think they would have a free aspect with a starter deck and a few free boosters to start (to make everyone at least a little different). After that, it's pay to play.

To be completely honest, if this still gives away the ingame itcg items, i'd be all in, i like a good tcg, and that'd be a extra good incentive. Otherwise, it depends on pricing for stuff.

What... The... Hell.
Zpyke Wrote:In fact, if they put little codes at the end like Yu-Gi-Oh, and put an online version to play with friends where I can upload all the cards I bought, then I'd probably be playing most definetly. (But if they released an online version with no way to put your bought cards online, and you just had to earn/buy them with nx, then I'd only play the online version, as it'd be a waste of money otherwise to buy cards and only be able to play them with people at tournaments or the few friends I know that play ms. (But don't play the card game too.) Where as likewise, being able to play online and offline opens up all the options.)

Hey iTCG's online are generally more fun than offline, but that's only because it doesn't cost an assload, which this likely will.

I've tried many an online TCG. They all charge for packs and battles. As long as you can battle for free and win at least 1 card per duel somewhere for free, I'm fine. I even like earning my cards that way (Except for the other damn cards I happened to pick up to try my hands at the iTCG craze. I want those immediately if possible.) because it gives me the time to learn the strategies of the particular game. Especially since I'm still new to this card game. (No one plays it near where I live...) Figuring out how to win with crap cards lets you get good at the underlying most important strategies before giving you better cards.
Though a lot of the cards seem a bit unbalanced to begin with. Meh, maybe this will be the chance Nexon needs to fix tha- oh wait... balanced gameplay and Maplestory don't mix, do they?

Uh, how does a virtual trading card game compare to that. In the slightest.
But this could pose a purpose to get the codes back into circulation. If this is so, I doubt they will re-add boss drops. >_>
