This argument is going no where. Nexon states they can change anything they want without notice, that's the facts. They're changing Elemental Wands/Staffs to hinder Bishops who wield it now. There is nothing you can do, being butthurt won't solve it.

Best to sell it real quick and find another staff/wand. There are more options then just the damn Elemental Wand/Staff, which original design was to be ONLY for Archmages, which has been reverted back to it's original design indeed.

Blizzard did this pomegranate with World of Warcraft too, all MMO companies do it at a point. I guess they get bombarded so much they start to blow people off. It's a very bad habit, but somewhat understandable.

I don't leech. I never have and never will. I'm against it as leeching is pointless and I find it ruins the game. But to each their own, I suppose. The Maple world is not going to end just because Bishops can't 1-hit kill monsters anymore. It's not going to implode on itself because they'll get a SLIGHT reduction in damage now. I think, quicker than you know it, the Maple world will move right along about its daily business.

That's really all there is to say. I'm not going to argue anymore because there's honestly no point in it.

Thanks, RDal, and all the others who backed me up. But I don't think he'll listen, regardless. He's ignorant and will probably, as expected, just repeat the same things to "prove" we're wrong and he's right in some non-existent way.

I will only like this patch if they get the mass banning situation fixed. Over 1500 characters were banned last night at around the same time, even 10 lv200's.

I prepared everything to get lv3 maker right away and get myself a reverse dagger, and now I'll have to wait till August 7th if they don't do anything about it. >_>


Good thing they finally fixed the elemental wands. I feel sorry for the Bishops who used the AP reset sale to lower their luk to 4 though. D: But yeah, they all should have known it was coming.

And for the ele wand argument -

Someone logged a ticket when elemental wands first came out, reporting that the weapons gave no elemental boost. Nexon said the same thing. "This was intended, please do not confuse GMS with other versions", or something to that effect. A few patches later, they added the elemental boost. The damage reduction for holy moves should have been expected, regardless of what Nexon said in tickets. Bishops who took the risk and bought one need to cut their losses and sell theirs before the price drops.

No one seems to have noticed this so I'll play the grammar whore here. I think the meaning is clear enough.
Re-modeled version: Bishops now receive a penalty for using A to cast skill B.
A being: An Elemental Wand/Staff without Holy element (in other words, all Ele Wands/Staves)
B being: Genesis/Angel Ray/Bahamut/Holy Arrow..

EDIT: One word on the drama. Whether the Ele Wands/Staves are meant to work like that or the GMs are meant to respond like that is the issue here. If you choose to be believing, fine, I myself am too believing. Did you know the risk? Yes. Did you choose to take it? Yes. Who caused the damage? Nexon.
So if you don't see this as fit, do something about it. Start a campaign: logging mass tickets, quitting, stop buying NX,.. whatever you see fit. Just don't humiliate yourself where it's not worth it.

Wow, it took them long enough to address this. The mage ranks are going to look a lot different now, that's for sure. Glad I stuck with a dragon staff.

I'm LOLing so hard at the Elemental Wand change. So much for those "C/O 900mil"s I saw in the FM last night before the patch. Lmfao!

What kind of ridiculous generalization is that. When were we ever CERTAIN that the elemental weapons in GMS were going to go one way or another. That uncertainty was the heart of eos's campaign after all. The fact that someone had to organize a campaign to seek the truth from nexon obviously suggests people were NOT certain.

Yes, there was a risk attached (a risk I personally didn't take), but after all those months of no information from nexon, and all those tickets suggesting that these weapons were not going to be changed, how can you say people have "half a brain" when so many factors were pointing to these weapons being safe to use.
