Ranks have not mattered ever actually, even before 2x and leechtards. Its a game, you should be playing to have fun not to be the best.

I keep track of how I stand in the archer community.

not for like competition or anything. just curiosity of where I stand in maple.

And the leeching going to keep going.

I feel bad for the people who grinded their ass off because they thought it was their last day of 2x Curve. I'm glad I stopped training 1 and a half month ago.

I've never cared about rank, but I know several people that do. Yes, still. This is just another slap in the face to them because it adds to all those leechers/hackers. If I was someone who cared, however, I would argue that you shouldn't let all these aids deter you. I'd want to work harder to keep my rank high to show I'm better than all this easy modo stuff. But of course people only complain either way...

I just try doing as much as possible by myself or other pointless accomplishments, like Monster Book, item collecting and crazy quest whoring. No matter what changes in MS, I've always found ways to have fun and new things to take pride in. That's why I decided this isn't going to bother me.

Besides, nobody takes PA DrKs seriously enough to spend time/money leeching one, so I'm unaffected by leeching on the ranks that matter to meUH![/COLOR]

August is my diversion month - I may train Mas to 160 for the extra attack/acc on my DW, but August is my Cygnus/Makering month, as well as my vacation. I won't be training much due to heavy work-load/schedule and preoccupation with my DW. As soon as September rolls around, I'm training full-boar until 200UH![/COLOR]

The only sad part about this...is I leveled at like 12:10 pst....and I have a sick feeling I'm going to get rolledback to 81%, since my ranks have yet to update. All that last minute grinding and 2x buffs/card wasted </3

All I care about is the curve is here to stay. Now if they implement an anti-leeching mechanic (like no EXP to anyone not moving or attacking for more than 5 minutes), and leechers can go bite my shiny metal ass.

Oh yes, I found Assassinate 30 today. My only problem is I am stuck burning ~150 Honsters an hour. This may seem awesome, but I need to refine my killing technique because I am stuck at around 6m EXP an hour. Maybe it's my damage range (~2,200-4,080) and lack of a powerful knuckle (89 attack versus a 100+).

That does affect a lot. I burn through about the same rate of potions (300-400 Ginsengs an hour), so don't feel bad. You're going to be doing a lot of cost vs speed here. I manage roughly 10m, give or take 1m, an hour. You have room to improve though. I have found 5, sold first 35m, 2nd 15 or 25m (depending if it works or not), 3rd 2m by mistake, 4th 20m, 5th unsold.

In terms of % healed, your Ginseng Roots heal for ~8,800 (40%) vs my ~6,000 (60%). So nyah.

I hope that with a boost of ~10 attack as well as a level 19 Maple Warrior I too can achieve nearly 10m an hour. That'd be sexy indeed.

I don't really understand the stuff about it helping leechers. We're all on the same EXP curve, so following the arguement some people are giving, the old EXP curve should have assisted them too, and should have been slowed down to stop them from gaining EXP as fast...

This makes me angry. I'll get over it in a bit.

Mahaha. Given all of the stuff we're seeing, if monster book does indeed get fixed this will be my favourite patch in quite a while!

For all the ones whining about how it ruins the race for the ranks, didn't NLC pots paired with ultimates, 2x exp cards and above all else, leeching, do that long ago?
