CPQ glitch. Getting really pissed.

Okay, anyone else have this potion glitch with CPQ?

For future info, I'm using windowed mode on Vista. In CPQ, say I have around 180~ HP. I get hit by a monster that does 180+ damage, as I pick up a potion. I see the death animation, then I pop back alive as if I had never died.

The next time anything happens, a monster hits me, I kill something, I die, or we win/lose, or basically anything else, this D/C glitch occurs. The background stays in place, including platforms. But all characters, chat, buttons, and anything else move down past the bottom right corner, and I disconnect.

Is anyone else getting this wierd glitch?

It's getting me mad. It usually happens right before we win (since my team wins a lot ) and I waste 10minutes for nothing, and I get expelled from the party, etc. It's making me mad.

Suggestion : Try it not in windowed mode and see what happnes, I can't test this because I don't have Vista, nor do I have a computer near me with MS installed.

That's a good idea. I've CPQ'd in Tespia on my Vista laptop and have never had any problems. Then again, for me, I get a lot of weird Vista glitches that it seems almost no one else has. Ie. When MS closes, the ad doesnt pop up, I get an error screen instead. When it does pop up, clicking close has no effect.

Window mode is fine for me. And it's happened to me before, but it didn't have any problems. It could be just Vista

Try changing settings. That seems to work for most vista glitches.

Yes ive got it.
I have a desktop vista and it was in fs mode not windowed.
It sucks live with it.

The way I see it, its more a Vista glitch than a CPQ glitch. This "glitch" is occuring because you're using Vista, not because of CPQ itself...

It's happening to me too, I don't use window mode though, I have vista, but it's been happening to everyone.

Someine in Alliance chat said it happened to them today.
(It was Vin, maybe ask him if he's using Vista?)

I've done cpq many times on my new archer and I have face that problem too. It's an ms glitch it has nothing to do with your comp. But if you want to know I was playing in full screen mode and using my windows xp computer It's an in-game glitch nothing to do with your comp. It was pretty cool though xD Referring to potion glitch.. I never dced from it though.

It happened to me once (in normal mode if I remember correctly) and it was mildly annoying but I really didn't think much of the stuff going past the corner. That problem has been happening to me for over a year now (it has gotten better by now, back then it occurred at my first attempt to log on so I always had to log on twice).

Edit: Also, I don't use vista, I use windows XP.

i had the die but not die then d/c glitch earlier... only happened once and i'm on xp so its not neccessarily vista but then again i rarely die (mg ftw) so yeah

Wow this happened twice to me today....yeah it's really annoying, but I don't play in windowed mode and I do have Vista.

This happened to me before but sometimes when i die on the last second of CPQ, everyone goes to the stage where they get the exp, but i stay dead.
Anyone know why that happens?

First of all, MS has to be in compatibility mode for XP in order to play at all on Vista. So, that wouldn't work.

Second, I'd need a cracked Windows XP installation file thingy, which (trust me) is near impossible to find, and apparently is very difficult to install. But believe me, I've been trying to get XP since I first bought a laptop with Vista.

It can't be relating to your operating system, as I'm running XP and had the glitch happen quite a few times. I'm thinking it's just something they screwed up during a patch or whatever, because I noticed that some spawn locations are glitched as well (robo and trojan on top middle platform on room 3/4, as well as flying robos - standing still killing one, when you get hit by nothing, on stage 5/6).

Flying Robos? O_O

The only Robo close to flying I've seen is the top left platform of stage 5/6, it stand still at the very edge of the platform and respawns there. Pretty cool. xD

Oh yeah, that's the one I'd always kill with my noob bandit. Yay for not getting hit!

Why is it that some platforms have 2 robos and some of none? It wasn't like this a while ago, was it?
